𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞: The DTI-Tatak Pinoy Council Secretariat (DTI-TPCS) served as a Resource Speaker at the 4th Philippine Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs Summit (PPRAS), held today (September 24) at the Bonifacio Global City. 🩺🧑‍⚕️💊

Led by Division Chief Joyce Ria Estares, the DTI-TPCS discussed the Tatak Pinoy Act and its role in strengthening the Philippine pharmaceutical industry by encouraging government to drive innovation, regulation, and global competitiveness in domestic industries.

The Tatak Pinoy Strategy, a guiding roadmap for industrial development anchored on the Tatak Pinoy Act, provides a strategic framework for strengthening local pharmaceutical capabilities to promote globally competitive manufacturing.

By leveraging government support, Division Chief Estares highlighted how government and industry can build a more advanced pharmaceutical ecosystem that can produce stronger Philippine products and services.

The Pharmaceuticals, Diagnostics, and Health Products sector is also one of the 9 priority sectors of the Tatak Pinoy Strategy.

This year’s PPRAS carried the theme, “Shaping Future-Ready Regulatory Systems for Innovative Healthcare,” and brought together a wide range of professionals and practicioners from the healthcare sector, as well as other key stakeholders from the government.

The DTI Bagong Pilipinas AI and Scale-Up Center served as the venue for Thames International and IMD Business School’s briefing, “A.I. and Family Business.”

With discussions led by Mr. Joel Santos, President and Co-Founder of Thames International, and Prof. Marleen Dieleman, Peter Lorange Chair in Family Business at IMD Business School, the briefing explored how AI is changing business and its implications for family enterprises.

IPOPHL-WIPO Women Creators and Entrepreneurs Visit the DTI MSME Hub 🇵🇭

The DTI Bagong Pilipinas MSME Hub welcomed international and local participants of the Cross-Regional Forum on Women Creators and Entrepreneurs: Leveraging IP for Asia-Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean, organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in collaboration with the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL).

On behalf of CIG Supervising Head and Assistant Secretary Nylah Rizza D. Bautista, BMDPO Chief TIDS Ann Malhotra delivered the welcome remarks, highlighting the MSME Hub’s role in helping Filipino enterprises showcase their products, strengthen market presence, and connect with potential customers and partners.

She also emphasized how intellectual property, branding, and market access can help creative MSMEs build business value and bring their products closer to their intended markets.

DAY 3 HIGHLIGHTS | ASEAN CREATIVE INDUSTRIES EXPO BY MALIKHAING PINOY 2026

The final day of the ASEAN Creative Industries Expo by Malikhaing Pinoy 2026 brought the creative community together for PCIDC presentations, creative industry awards, and activities celebrating Filipino talent and the region’s creative potential.

From recognizing the contributions of creatives to exploring opportunities in ASEAN’s evolving digital economy, Day 3 highlighted the importance of collaboration, innovation, and continued support for the creative industries.

On September 18, 2026, at the SMX Convention Center Aura, Taguig City, Day 3 of the 𝐀𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐍 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐨 𝐛𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐲 brought the Expo’s conversations and creative experiences to the forefront, from the digital creative economy and business innovation to the nine creative domains.

Through industry sessions, 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐲 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐬, creative performances, a film showing, book signing, and the recognition of Expo exhibitors, the day put the people, ideas, and enterprises shaping the creative economy in focus.

Cong. Javi Lopez Benitez called for greater investment in the creative industries, emphasizing the need to build on the work and talent driving the sector forward. In closing the Expo, Dir. Bianca Pearl Sykimte reaffirmed DTI’s commitment to sustaining this momentum and deepening connections between Philippine creative industries and the broader ASEAN creative ecosystem.
