DepEd Panabo City expresses its full support for the celebration and observance of the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗼 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗪𝗲ek from 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟭𝟯–𝟭𝟴, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, with the theme “𝑯𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒊 𝑲𝒂 𝑵𝒂𝒈-𝒊𝒊𝒔𝒂 𝒔𝒂 𝑰𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝑷𝒂𝒈-𝒊𝒊𝒔𝒂: 𝒀𝒂𝒌𝒂𝒑 𝒂𝒕 𝑲𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒂 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒂 𝒔𝒂 𝑺𝒐𝒍𝒐 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒕,” spearheaded by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), pursuant to Republic Act No. 11861 or the Expanded Solo Parents Welfare Act.

The Schools Division reaffirms its commitment to inclusive and compassionate education by recognizing the invaluable role of solo parents in nurturing learners and shaping resilient communities.

The Department of Education (DepEd) Panabo City, through its Gender and Development (GAD) program, recognized four distinguished individuals as “Women of the Month” during the Division’s Flag Ceremony and Convocation, in line with the 2026 National Women’s Month celebration.
Honored were Schools Division Superintendent 𝗝𝗶𝗻𝗸𝘆 𝗕. 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻, 𝗣𝗵𝗗, 𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗢 𝗩𝗜; Budget Officer 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗲 𝗗. 𝗘𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗮; Medical Officer 𝗔𝗿𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗲 𝗟. 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗶, 𝗠𝗗; and Administrative Assistant VI 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗢. 𝗘𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘁𝗼 in recognition of their exemplary contributions to public service and their leadership in advancing gender-responsive initiatives.
The recognition, witnessed by top management, section heads, and division personnel, highlighted the division’s sustained commitment to promoting women’s empowerment and fostering inclusive governance within the education sector.

𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐄𝐝 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐬 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬

The Schools Division Office, together with public schools across Panabo City, is actively observing 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 through a series of meaningful activities that celebrate women’s achievements and promote gender equality in the workplace, spearheaded by the Gender and Development (GAD) team of the Schools Division of Panabo City, led by GAD Focal Person Lea Jane M. Isleta, in close coordination with school-based GAD coordinators.

One of the key initiatives is “𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲,” where teaching and non-teaching personnel wear purple every Wednesday of March as a visible show of support for women’s empowerment and gender equality. The color purple symbolizes justice, dignity, and the collective commitment to advancing women’s rights.

Several activities are also scheduled in the coming weeks, including the 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡, which honors exemplary female personnel who demonstrate outstanding leadership and dedication in service. Other highlights include “𝐒𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐞: 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐤𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐉𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐚,” which provides special treats and tokens of appreciation for women employees, and “𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐨 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐄𝐝 𝐉𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐚,” an initiative that promotes wellness, confidence, and self-care among women personnel.

The celebration also features webinars initiated by the DepEd Central Office, offering discussions on gender sensitivity, women's empowerment, and inclusive leadership.

Through these initiatives, DepEd Panabo City reaffirms its commitment to fostering a culture of respect, inclusivity, and empowerment—recognizing the vital role of women in building stronger schools and communities.
