The National Service Training Program (NSTP) of University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines – Oroquieta Campus actively joins the 2026 Fire Prevention Month celebration in support of the nationwide campaign led by the Bureau of Fire Protection.

This annual observance highlights the importance of fire safety awareness, preparedness, and community responsibility. Through its participation, the NSTP reinforces its commitment to developing students who are not only academically competent but also socially responsible and safety-conscious citizens.

As future leaders and community responders, NSTP students engage in activities such as fire safety orientations, emergency drills, awareness campaigns, and demonstrations on the proper use of fire extinguishers. These initiatives aim to strengthen disaster preparedness, promote vigilance, and cultivate a culture of prevention within the campus and the surrounding community.

Fire Prevention Month serves as a reminder that fire incidents are preventable through discipline, knowledge, and collective action. By joining this campaign, NSTP USTP Oroquieta emphasizes that safety is a shared responsibility — beginning in our homes, extending to our school, and reaching the wider community.

Together, we build a safer and more resilient community through awareness, preparedness, and proactive service.

Bundle of Joy Community Outreach

The NSTP students proudly conducted and spearheaded the Community Outreach Program – Bundle of Joy for the registered informal settler families of USTP Oroquieta, held last December 15, 2025, at the Brgy. Mobod Basketball Court.

Families received grocery packs, while their children enjoyed literacy and numeracy sessions facilitated by our selected NSTP students. The kids were also given bundles of toys and school supplies, joined a fun feeding activity, and happily participated in games with exciting prizes.

Smiles, laughter, and gratitude filled the day as both parents and children truly enjoyed the activities. This outreach reflects the NSTP students’ commitment to service, compassion, and community building.

📸 Indeed, a day filled with joy, learning, and hope!
