There is an Amateur Radio Station operating at Ormoc City!

It is no other than ALARM Guardians Inc. with the Station Call Sign DX5HAG.

A SEC Registered and NTC Licensed civic-oriented organization under the Philippine Amateur Radio Association (PARA).

We are a group amateur radio operators and volunteers dedicated to public service. When communication lines are down, when our city needs extra eyes and ears DX5HAG is on the air and ready to serve.

You can hear us on the amateur radio bands, assisting in disaster response, public assistance, and community events.

So if you hear "This is DX5HAG, ALARM Guardians Ormoc calling..." — that's us!

On October 11, 2026, at around 4:30 PM in the vicinity of Brgy. Tambulilid, Ormoc City, a child was spotted walking alone at a distance by the personnel of Ormoc City Mobile Force Company.

With their immediate concern for the child's safety, they promptly took the child to the Barangay Hall of Brgy. Tambulilid.

Our members from ALARM Guardians Ormoc Chapter assisted during the process until the child was successfully and safely turned over to his parents.

We sincerely thank the Ormoc City Mobile Force Company for their quick initiative and genuine concern for public safety! 🫡.

The Quarterly Meeting of ALARM Guardians Ormoc Chapter was successfully conducted on October 2, 2026.

The meeting was presided over by the chapter officers and attended by active members of the organization.

Key topics discussed were:

1. Upcoming Activity for All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day Observance - The chapter discussed its operational plan and deployment for the upcoming Undas to provide public assistance and radio communication support to ensure the safety of the public.

2. Upcoming Training with CDEMT - The chapter also tackled the upcoming training activities to be conducted together with the Civil Defense Emergency Management Team (CDEMT) to enhance the capabilities of our members in emergency response.

We thank all brothers and sisters who attended and showed their continued support and commitment.
