⚠️ PUBLIC REMINDER ⚠️
The Philippine National Police Aviation Security Group reminds everyone that pointing laser beams at aircraft is dangerous and against the law. A laser beam can distract or temporarily blind pilots during takeoff or landing, putting passengers, crew, and the public at risk.

PASAY CITY, May 25, 2026 – A 44 year old female outbound passenger was arrested at NAIA Terminal 3 after authorities served an alias warrant of arrest for estafa.

A joint operation conducted by the PNP Aviation Security Group NAIA Police Station 3 and the Criminal Investigation Section of the Manila Police District (CIS MPD) implemented the warrant after the passenger was intercepted at the International Departure Area prior to departure.

The suspect, a resident of Cavite, was reportedly bound for Hong Kong when she was intercepted by Bureau of Immigration officers before departure.

The warrant, issued by the Regional Trial Court of Negros Occidental in Bacolod City, covers a case for estafa with a recommended bail of Php 40,000.

The subject was initially intercepted by Bureau of Immigration personnel at the International Departure Area and was subsequently verified by responding police units. Following confirmation, the warrant was served and the arrest was carried out through joint coordination with concerned law enforcement units.

The arrested individual was informed of the nature of her arrest and apprised of her constitutional rights in a language she understood. An alternative recording device was also utilized during the conduct of the operation. She is presently under the custody of the Criminal Investigation Section of the Manila Police District for documentation and proper disposition.

PBGEN Dionisio B Bartolome Jr. emphasized that airport authorities will continue to strictly enforce the law and ensure that wanted individuals are prevented from using the country’s airports to evade arrest in support of public safety and justice. # # #
