Brigada Eskwela (also known as the National Schools Maintenance Week) is a nationwide initiative by the Department of Education (DepEd) in the Philippines. The primary aim of Brigada Eskwela is to bring together all education stakeholders to participate in the cleaning, repair, and maintenance of public schools right before the start of the new school year.
It relies heavily on community unity and cooperation (bayanihan). It encourages parents, alumni, civic groups, local businesses, non-governmental organizations, and government agencies to volunteer their time, skills, and resources.
