LOOK ll SINHS fetes Career Guidance
SINHS held its first ever career guidance celebration earlier today with the theme: "Empowering Futures: Exploring Paths, Building Dreams.
In her message, Ms. Eden Grace Komicho, the guidance designate, betoned that career guidance is crucial for students as it fosters among them self-awareness of their strengths, interests and skills, enabling them to make realistic professional decisions.
Other esteemed speakers shared their experiences, words of wisdom and encouragement to the students. "It is hard to enter college without a decision on what course to take. Diving in without a plan often leads to wasted time and money if you end up shifting to other courses after a year or two. Fortunately, career guidance helps you, students now, to make an informed choice, ensuring your efforts are focused and purposeful," stressed Police Staff Sergeant Lawrence Joe Balinggao.
Police Master Sergeant Cristobal Andawe also emphasized four important things students should possess to be successful in their future career: Being God-fearing, Discipline, Perseverance, and Determination.
Lastly, Engineer Recto Safilo underscored, "The only way to do great work is to love what you do, a quote by Steve Jobs."
The career guidance celebration reached its peak with a fashion show, where each career representative owned the stage with standout outfits, unique poses, confidence and meaningful messages. Thunderous applause erupted in the hall in a massive show of support for the candidates.
The celebration concluded with the awarding of sashes and certificates to the candidates.
