While many people recognize the classic Rainbow Pride Flag, there are dozens of flags representing different identities, communities, and experiences within the LGBTQIA+ spectrum.

Examples include Transgender Pride Flag, Bisexual Pride Flag, Pansexual Pride Flag, Asexual Pride Flag, Nonbinary Pride Flag, and Genderfluid Pride Flag. Each flag has its own colors and symbolism, helping people express identity, pride, and community.

In line with recent national directives and our commitment to providing efficient public service while ensuring the well-being of our staff, the Barangay Council of Pacol headed by PB Ruben S. Limbo, is officially transitioning to a 4-Day Onsite Work Arrangement effective immediately.

⏱️ 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂?
To ensure that we still meet the needs of our constituents, we have adjusted our operating hours to cover more time during the day.
• Schedule: Monday to Thursday
• Service Hours: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Friday Status: Skeletal force / Online inquiries only (No onsite processing)

During these onsite hours, residents can continue to process:
• Barangay Clearances & Certifications
• Indigency Records
• Lupon Tagapamayapa concerns
• General inquiries and assistance

Note: Our emergency response teams and Barangay Tanods will remain on a 24/7 duty cycle to ensure the safety and security of our community regardless of the office schedule.

Offices will temporarily follow 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM due to the holiday on March 20.

The Sangguniang Kabataan of Pacol in coordination with the Cdrrmo Naga, is currently conducting a 3-day Basic Life Support (BLS) and Standard First Aid Training Seminar for SK Pacol DRRMC Members.

This initiative is anchored on Barangay Resolution No. 2025-76 authored by Hon. The training is part of the SK DRRMC program that equips volunteer responders with essential life-saving skills, emergency response techniques, and practical knowledge necessary to assist during emergencies and disasters.

Upon successful completion of the course, council members will receive certifications, recognizing their competence in Basic Life Support and Standard First Aid. This initiative strengthens the capacity of our youth volunteers to serve as reliable first responders, further enhancing the capability of the youth disaster response force in the barangay.

𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗯𝗼𝘄 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗳𝗹𝗮𝗴? 🤔

The rainbow pride flag was created in 1978 by artist Gilbert Baker, after being inspired by activist Harvey Milk (first LGBTQIA+ elected official of California) to create a symbol for the LGBTQIA+ community.

The original flag had 8 colors, each representing values like life, healing, nature, and spirit. It was first flown on June 25, 1978 in San Francisco. Due to production issues, it was later simplified into the 6-color flag we commonly see today.

Pride Month is called "Pride" because the LGBTQ+ movement embraced pride as the antidote of shame, promoting dignity, self-acceptance, and visibility. The term gained prominence after Craig Schoonmaker advocated for "Gay Pride" instead of "Gay Power." He believed that while power was something few people possessed, pride was something everyone could cultivate within themselves.

Pride Month is celebrated in June to commemorate the Stonewall Uprising/Riots, a series of protests that began on June 28, 1969, after a police raid on the Stonewall Inn—a popular gathering place for LGBTQ people in New York City's Greenwich Village. The event became a turning point in the fight for LGBTQ rights.

𝗦𝗞 𝗣𝗔𝗖𝗢𝗟 𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗧𝗜𝗔𝗥𝗬 𝗘𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗔𝗥𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗣 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘 📚✨

As part of the implementation of the SK Pacol Tertiary Education Scholarship Program, the payment of scholarship assistance to partner schools was personally facilitated by SK Chairwoman Rosary Diaz and SK Secretary Annilou Colegio last May 2026.

This initiative ensures the timely release of education funds for our scholars and reaffirms the commitment of the Sangguniang Kabataan ng Pacol to support deserving students in their pursuit of higher education. Through continued investment in education, the SK Council remains steadfast in helping young Pacolanos achieve their academic goals and build a brighter future.

At present, all scholarship slots under the program remain occupied by continuing beneficiaries, with the majority of scholars still in their freshman and sophomore years.

Nevertheless, the SK Council is currently developing a new long-term education program that aims to extend educational support and opportunities. Further details will be announced soon. 👀
