𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗧𝗘𝗦𝗬 𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗧 | It was my honor to personally welcome and congratulate Rodney Corbin Sarmiento of Nabua National High School for his outstanding achievement in bringing pride to Nabua and the Philippines through his bronze medal finish at the Earth Science Festival 2026 in Tsukuba, Japan.

Rodney’s remarkable performance as the highest-scoring Filipino among the finalists is a testament to the talent, dedication, and excellence of Nabueño students. We are proud of your achievement and wish you the very best as you represent our country once again in the International Earth Science Olympiad in Turin, Italy this August.

ADVISORY

Effective June 1, 2026, the Friday Work-From-Home arrangement in the Municipal Government of Nabua is officially lifted. All offices, departments, and units shall resume regular onsite work from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, while continuing to observe energy conservation measures.

Magandang umaga po.

Naipamahagi na po ang cash prize na ₱250,000 sa 60 na Nabua Cultural Dancers at 60 na Propmen. Tig-₱2,000 po ang natanggap ng bawat isa, na umabot sa kabuuang ₱240,000.

Ang natitirang ₱10,000 ay dinagdagan natin para sa Jollibee raw ng mga bata. 😅

Paghahanda para sa Tag-ulan | Mas Ligtas na Nabua

Bilang bahagi ng patuloy nating pagpapatibay sa kahandaan ng ating bayan sa panahon ng sakuna, isinagawa ang prepositioning ng mga rescue boats na kumpleto sa life vest, lubid, at sagwan para sa 15 flood-prone barangays, batay sa ating Flood Hazard and Risk Assessment.

Kasabay nito, ang lahat ng 42 barangay ay binigyan ng push-to-talk over cellular radios upang mas mapabilis ang ugnayan at pagpapalitan ng impormasyon sa oras ng emergency. Katuwang natin dito ang BFP at PNP, upang mas mapalakas ang koordinasyon at agarang pagtugon sa anumang sakuna. Maaari rin nilang direktang makipag-ugnayan sa mga karatig-barangay na may rescue boats kung kinakailangan ng mabilis na responde.

Matatandaang noong nakaraang taon, nauna na rin tayong namahagi ng mga rescue equipment tulad ng spine board, life vest, at iba pang kagamitang pang-rescue sa lahat ng barangay ng Nabua.

Sa mga susunod na araw, isasagawa rin ang training sa boat handling at water rescue operations para sa ating mga barangay responders, upang mas mapalakas ang kanilang kakayahan sa aktuwal na sitwasyon.

Dagdag pa rito, magkakaroon ng Basic Life Support Training para sa mga Youth Responders ng Nabua sa darating na Hunyo 9–11 sa PNP Training Camp, Duran, Nabua, Camarines Sur.

Ang lahat ng ito ay bahagi ng programa ng MDRRMO Nabua sa layuning patuloy na mapataas ang antas ng kahandaan, koordinasyon, at kaligtasan ng bawat Nabueño.

It is heartening to see young Nabueños quietly making a difference through hard work and dedication.

Mathew Ponon was recently featured by NYU Shanghai for his work in Computer Systems Engineering, including an AI project that translates sign language into spoken words to help improve accessibility for people with speech and hearing disabilities.

His brother, Gabriel Ponon, was also recognized among the outstanding graduate students of Case Western Reserve University Class of 2026.

Congratulations to both of them for representing Nabua well through their achievements. Congratulations as well to Vice Mayor Gerard S. Ponon. Your sons carry the same humility and excellence that people have long admired in you.

Triple celebration for Nabua! 🎉

From achieving an IDEAL Rating in the CY 2026 Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) Functionality Assessment of the Department of the Interior and Local Government Region V—our newest and most significant recognition—to being ranked 2nd in Camarines Sur in Local Generated Income, and proudly securing 2nd Place in the Kaogmahan Festival 2026 through our very own Nabua Cultural Dancers.

These milestones reflect the talent, unity, discipline, and dedication of the Nabueño people. Together, we continue to bring pride and honor to our beloved town.

In partnership with LTO–Iriga, the Municipality of Nabua continues to promote safe, orderly, and responsible driving among Nabueños through the conduct of a Free Theoretical Driving Course and Student License Issuance.

All pre-registered participants are required to attend. Slots are on a first come, first served basis.

Yesterday, ENS Jenar Andrei A. Gornal PN paid a courtesy visit to my office together with his parents and Punong Barangay Enimedez of Barangay Duran. During our meeting, I reiterated the importance of genuine public service and the constitutional duty of every Filipino to uphold the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national interest of our country.

I am confident that this young Nabueño will serve the Philippines with honor, integrity, and patriotism as he takes part in protecting our territorial waters and safeguarding the nation.
