We celebrate today with joyful and grateful hearts, the Feast of Our Lady of Montserrat, our beloved Patroness.

For nine days, we have walked the Footsteps of Fiat, contemplating the life of Maryโ€”her humility, her trust, her courage, her love, and her unwavering โ€œyesโ€ to God.

Today, we celebrate the beginning of a renewed commitment ๐ญ๐จ ๐ฅ๐ข๐ฏ๐ž ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐จ๐ฐ๐ง ๐…๐ข๐š๐ญ.

Like Mary, may we learn to say yes to Godโ€™s will; to trust Him when the path is uncertain; to remain steadfast in moments of joy and sorrow; and to bring Christโ€™s love wherever we are called to serve.

May Our Lady of Montserrat continue to watch over our entire Bedan familyโ€”our students, faculty, administrators, non-teaching personnel, parents, alumni, and friendsโ€”uniting us as one community of faith.

Today, we celebrate ๐ˆ๐ง๐ญ๐ž๐ซ๐ง๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐‹๐ข๐ญ๐ž๐ซ๐š๐œ๐ฒ ๐ƒ๐š๐ฒ, a global observance established by UNESCO to promote literacy as a fundamental human right and a foundation for lifelong learning. This year marks its 60th anniversary with the theme โ€œ๐‹๐ข๐ญ๐ž๐ซ๐š๐œ๐ฒ ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐๐ž๐จ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ž, ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐ž๐ญ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐ž๐ซ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ.โ€

In the Philippines, September 8 is also observed as National Literacy Day through Proclamation No. 1886, s. 1979, encouraging the nation to reflect on its progress in promoting literacy and strengthen efforts toward eliminating illiteracy as a barrier to economic, social, and cultural development.
