📢 World No To***co Day Celebration | Health Education Activity 📢

In observance of World No To***co Day, a health education session on Smoking and Va**ng Cessation was successfully conducted at the Out-Patient Department (OPD) of Misamis Oriental Provincial Hospital – Manticao last May 25, 2026.

The lecture was facilitated by Edelbert F. Padilla, RN, who discussed the harmful effects of to***co smoking and va**ng on individual and public health. The session emphasized the benefits of quitting, strategies for smoking and va**ng cessation, and the importance of adopting healthier lifestyle choices to prevent to***co-related diseases.

The activity aimed to raise awareness among patients, watchers, and community members regarding the dangers of to***co and ni****ne use while promoting a smoke-free and vape-free environment. Through education and advocacy, the hospital continues to support national and global efforts in reducing to***co use and protecting the health of all.

📢 Ward Class | Public Health Unit Initiative 📢

In line with the continuous efforts of the Public Health Unit to strengthen health education and promote quality patient care, a Ward Class was successfully conducted last May 21, 2026, at Misamis Oriental Provincial Hospital – Manticao.

This week’s session featured an informative lecture on Acute Gastroenteritis, presented by Edelbert F. Padilla, RN. The discussion focused on its causes, modes of transmission, clinical manifestations, prevention strategies, and proper management. Emphasis was placed on the importance of hand hygiene, safe food handling, adequate hydration, and early recognition of symptoms to prevent complications and reduce the spread of infection.

The activity forms part of the hospital’s regular Ward Class every Wednesday, aimed at enhancing clinical competencies and reinforcing patient-centered care practices.

💚 May Moments to Remember 💚

As the month of May comes to a close, we look back on the meaningful moments we shared with our patients and staff.

This Mother’s Day, we celebrated the amazing mothers and mother figures in our hospital by sharing simple treats and heartfelt appreciation. 🌷✨

We also had the privilege of celebrating the birthday of one of our admitted patients. Though she was spending her special day in the hospital, we made it a little brighter with a simple gift and warm birthday greetings. 🎂🎁💖

These moments may have been simple, but they reflect the compassion, kindness, and human connection that make our workplace and healthcare community special. Together, we continue to create smiles, spread hope, and make every day meaningful for those we serve.
