Laying a solid foundation with a little help from our fleet. 🤝🔥

Milestone alert! Construction on our new fire station has officially reached the foundation stage. To make the day even better, one of our own fire trucks delivered the water required for the concrete mixing.

We are literally building the future of local emergency response using the very resources that keep us safe every day. Huge thanks to our Alfahad Construction and to the Local Chief Executive of Medina Hon. Marriane Chan for making this a big success!

Building the lifesavers of tomorrow! 🪵🔥👨‍🚒

Medina Fire Station, headed by SFO4 Julieta G Wapanio, OIC, Municipal Fire Marshal guided by FSUPT ROEL G BACASNOT, Provincial Fire Marshal, with the direct supervision of FCSUPT ROMEL C TRADIO Regional Director; The Medina Personnel successfully conducted a Basic Fire Fighting Response Training for the Boy Scouts. From learning fire safety basicsb bucket relaym fire extinguisher to handling a fire hose, these young scouts showed incredible discipline, bravery, and readiness to serve their community.

In an emergency, every second counts. While sharing information on social media can be helpful, it should never come before alerting the authorities. Help us help you by prioritizing the right actions!

Remember the Golden Rule of Emergency Reporting:

Assess & Evacuate: Ensure you and others are in a safe location away from the fire.

Call for Help: Immediately dial our station hotlines. Providing the exact location and type of fire allows us to dispatch the right equipment faster.

Go Live AFTER: Once you are safe and the fire department has been notified, you can then use social media to alert the neighborhood.

Recording a video might document the event, but calling the fire station stops the fire. Let's work together to keep Medina safe!

Follow these essential tips to protect your home and loved ones during this high-temperature season:

🚫 Avoid Open Burning: High winds and dry grass are a dangerous mix. Skip the backyard burning and secure proper permits for any necessary fires.

🔌 Check Your Electronics: Don't overload your outlets! Unplug unused appliances and ensure your gadgets have enough ventilation to prevent overheating.

🧹 Clear Dry Vegetation: Maintain a "defensible space" around your home by cutting back dry grass and overhanging tree branches.

⛽ Store Flammables Safely: Keep propane tanks and flammable liquids in cool, well-ventilated areas away from direct sunlight.

✅ Distance is Key: Keep a safe distance from the main Paschal fire.
✅ Careful Sharing: When passing the light to others, watch out for clothes and hair.
✅ Stable Holders: Use sturdy candle holders or guards to prevent hot wax drips and accidental fires.
