For public awareness.
The Municipality of Jimenez is proposing an amended Curfew Ordinance for Minors, covering individuals below 18 years old.
Under this proposed measure, minors are not allowed to stay, loiter, or roam in public places from 10:00 PM to 4:00 AM to help protect them from risks and dangers at night.
This does not apply to minors accompanied by parents or guardians, those going to or from school, religious, or official activities, working students, or those in emergency situations.
Minors found outside during curfew hours will be safely brought home or turned over to barangay officials. The approach focuses on guidance first, with accountability placed on parents for repeated violations.
In the spirit of transparency and good governance, this proposal is shared for public awareness and discussion. We encourage everyone to stay informed and participate in the public hearing to ensure that the ordinance remains fair, practical, and protective of our youth.
Let us work together to guide, protect, and support our young people.

For public awareness

The Municipality of Jimenez is proposing an ordinance regulating excessive noise from videoke, karaoke, sound systems, and other amplified audio devices.

This proposed measure aims to protect the community’s right to rest, especially from 10:00 PM to 10:00 AM, when loud and disturbing sounds are not allowed if they affect nearby residents.

This does not prohibit singing, celebrations, or gatherings. It only regulates excessive and unreasonable noise that disturbs peace, comfort, and the well-being of the community.

Exemptions include fiestas, holidays, and duly authorized events, provided sound remains reasonable and respectful at all times.

Enforcement will follow a fair and respectful approach, starting with a verbal warning. Penalties will apply only for repeated violations or refusal to comply.

In the spirit of transparency and good governance, this proposal is shared for public information and discussion. We encourage everyone to participate in the public hearing and share their insights.

Let us work together in keeping our community peaceful and respectful.
