MAGUINDANAO DEL SUR โ The Mindanao Inclusive Agriculture Development Project - Regional Project Coordination Office of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (RPCO BARMM), together with the Project Support Office (PSO) and the Provincial Local Government Unit (PLGU), conducted a Joint Technical Review and Subproject Appraisal Review for several proposed infrastructure projects aimed at strengthening rural development and improving agricultural productivity in the province.
The activity covered the proposed construction of a Multi-Purpose Building with Solar Dryer in Barangay Maitumaig, Datu Unsay; a warehouse project in Barangay Limpongo, Datu Hoffer Ampatuan; and a site visit for the proposed Farm-to-Market Road (FMR) in Barangay Panangget, Datu Unsay.
The Joint Technical Review serves as a critical mechanism to ensure that the proposed infrastructure sub-projects are properly planned, technically sound, financially feasible, and responsive to the needs of the target communities. The review process also strengthens transparency, accountability, and quality assurance in project preparation and implementation.
The Subproject Appraisal Review focused on evaluating whether the proposed infrastructure projects are technically feasible, economically viable, environmentally sound, and compliant with government standards and program guidelines. The activity involved technical personnel, engineers, planners, financial analysts, and concerned stakeholders who collaboratively reviewed project designs, implementation plans, and supporting documents.
The proposed Multi-Purpose Building with Solar Dryer is expected to support post-harvest activities and improve agricultural processing and storage for local farmers, while the warehouse facility aims to strengthen storage and logistics capacity in the area. Meanwhile, the proposed Farm-to-Market Road in Barangay Panangget is envisioned to improve accessibility and transportation of agricultural products, ultimately enhancing market connectivity for farming communities.
RPCO BARMM emphasized that the activity is expected to strengthen project implementation and technical preparation while contributing to the sustainable development of the Teduray-Lambangian Ancestral Domain and promoting inclusive economic growth in the region.
