Learners from the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) and Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP) of Mayoyao Central School participated in the Joint School BSP & GSP Encampment held on March 6–7, 2026, an activity aimed at strengthening leadership, teamwork, and practical life skills through outdoor and scouting experiences.

Throughout the two-day encampment, scouts took part in various skill-building activities such as first aid and bandaging, knot tying, marching drills, obstacle courses, games, parade, treasure hunting, and proper flag folding, allowing them to practice important scouting competencies in a hands-on environment.

The event also highlighted creativity and teamwork through a banner contest, campfire program featuring skits, choral presentations, yells, silent drills, and dance performances, which brought energy and camaraderie among the participating scouts.

A cooking fest was also held where scouts showcased their cooking skills and resourcefulness. Participants prepared and cooked their own meals for dinner, breakfast, and lunch, demonstrating cooperation, responsibility, and survival skills commonly practiced in scouting activities.

The encampment concluded with an unvestiture ceremony, marking the successful completion of the activities and reinforcing the values of discipline, preparedness, service, and unity among the young scouts.

Where Leadership and Service Begin

Today marks the beginning of the School-Based Joint BSP and GSP Scouting Activity, a gathering that brings together young scouts in a shared journey of learning, leadership, and service. Within the spirit of scouting, learners are given the opportunity to strengthen not only their skills in outdoor activities but also their values of discipline, cooperation, and responsibility.

Guided by their teachers and troop advisers, the scouts step beyond the walls of the classroom and into experiences that shape character and camaraderie. Through teamwork, challenges, and meaningful activities, the event becomes more than just a school program, to becomes a reminder that scouting continues to mold young individuals into responsible citizens and future leaders of the community.

As the activities unfold, the spirit of the scout remains alive in every cheer, every helping hand, and every lesson learned, living out the timeless motto: “Be Prepared.”

MAPEH District Festival of Talents 2026

Yesterday, Mayoyao Central School came alive with color, rhythm, movement, and creativity as we proudly hosted the MAPEH District Festival of Talents 2026.

From graceful performances to powerful presentations, every participant showed confidence, discipline, and passion on stage and in the competition areas.

The event was more than a contest, it was a beautiful reminder that MAPEH is where skills, creativity, and character shine together. Behind every performance were hours of practice, guidance from dedicated coaches and teachers, and the unwavering support of schools and families.

We didn’t just travel from Mayoyao to Lagawe, we carried dreams, discipline, and drafts with red marks all over them.

The DSPC 2026 (February 5–7) was not just a competition; it was a statement. We didn’t come home empty-handed. We came home loaded with lessons, and unforgettable memories.

Because this journey was never about individual glory alone.
It was about teamwork.
It was about listening to advisers (even when we thought our first draft was already perfect).
It was about supporting one another, especially when the pressure was louder than our confidence.

“Winning is sweeter when it’s shared, and losing hurts less when you’re not alone.”

Mayoyao Rises: Our Athletes March Toward Glory

Today, the pride of Mayoyao steps beyond the boundaries of our district and onto the provincial stage. With hearts full of courage and bags packed with dreams, our athletes and delegates officially depart for Kiangan to represent us in the Ifugao Provincial Meet 2026.

They carry more than uniforms and equipment, they carry the name of our schools, the cheers of their teachers, the support of their families, and the hopes of an entire community. Every early morning training, every drop of sweat on the court and in the field, every moment of discipline has led to this.

Win or lose, they have already made us proud. Their dedication, teamwork, and sportsmanship show what it truly means to be a Mayoyao athlete, resilient, respectful, and ready to rise.

As they compete, may they play with strength, confidence, and integrity. May they build friendships, gain experience, and create memories that will last far beyond medals and trophies.

Kiangan, here they come.
Mayoyao is behind you all the way. 💪🏽🏅

Laban, Mayoyao!

Ink, Ideas, and a Lot of Laughs: Mayoyao’s Campus Journalism Weekend

From last Friday to Sunday, the district of Mayoyao did not just echo with lessons, it buzzed with ideas, laughter, and the sound of pens racing against paper. Advisers, future advisers, and our learners who are aspiring journalists came together for a Campus Journalism Training and Workshop that felt less like a seminar and more like a creative reunion of minds.

It was a weekend where notebooks were filled not only with notes but also with “aha!” moments. Under the guidance of our batidong lecturers, we dove deep into the exciting world of journalism, sports writing that made our hearts race, science and technology articles that made our heads spin (in a good way), columns and features that taught us how to speak from the heart, photojournalism that reminded us that one picture can tell a thousand stories, news writing that sharpened our sense of truth, and layouting that proved that journalism is also an art.

Between lectures, there were fun activities that reminded us that learning does not always have to be serious. There were laughs when someone realized, “Ay, mali pala ang angle ko,” and inside jokes that only journalists would understand, like how deadlines suddenly feel closer when the lecturer says, “You have five minutes left.” 😄

Our lecturers generously shared practical tips, tricks, and real-life experiences, proof that journalism is not just about writing well, but about observing deeply, thinking critically, and telling stories responsibly. Each session molded our knowledge and confidence, turning both teachers and learners into better storytellers.

By the end of the training, we were tired but inspired.
This training reminded us that campus journalism is not only about competing or winning, it is about giving voice, telling stories that matter, and learning together as a community. Mayoyao’s future journalists are on the rise, armed with skills, passion, and a lot of shared memories.

Here’s to more stories to write, more photos to capture, and more deadlines to chase, with a smile.

From Chalkboards to Milestones

Promotion is never just a change in rank, it is a quiet applause for years of patience, lesson plans rewritten at dawn, classrooms held together by faith, and learners believed in even when progress came slowly.

Recently, eight dedicated educators of Mayoyao Central School stepped into a well-earned milestone, rising from Teacher III to Teacher VI. Behind those numerals are stories of perseverance: the extra hours spent remediating, the weekends given to training, the steady resolve to grow not only as teachers, but as servants of learning.

This promotion is not an overnight success. It is the accumulation of consistency, competence, and character. It is proof that when passion meets purpose, recognition eventually follows.

To our newly promoted teachers: may this new chapter widen your influence, deepen your impact, and renew your joy in teaching. Your success lifts our school higher and reminds us all that dedication still matters, and still gets noticed.

Congratulations!
May your journey ahead be filled with continued growth, meaningful service, and classrooms that thrive because of you.
