On May 4, 2026, the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) of MSSD-BARMM LSA, in partnership with the MSU–College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA) Marketing Department, conducted a supplementary capability training for the Francfort farmers SLPA (Zero Hunger SLPA) in the Municipality of Amai Manabilang, Lanao del Sur.

The activity aimed to strengthen the group’s entrepreneurial capacity, with a focus on improving product positioning and expanding market reach for their coffee-based enterprise. Participants actively engaged in discussions on branding, pricing strategies, customer targeting, and the effective use of digital platforms to promote local products.

Mr. Zuhayr Baraguir, a graduate of the MSU-CBAA Marketing Department, served as the resource speaker. He emphasized practical, community-based marketing approaches and encouraged members to leverage the unique identity of their locally produced coffee to remain competitive in the market.

Meanwhile, Monitoring Project Development Officer II (MPDO) Hamdani Ali conducted monitoring activities on the SLPA’s coffee farm and processing operations. The visit assessed current production practices, identified areas for improvement, and ensured alignment with program goals.

The initiative highlights the continuing collaboration between government and academic institutions in supporting sustainable livelihood development and empowering local communities toward economic resilience.

On April 13, 2026, the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) of MSSD-BARMM LSA conducted an Orientation, Validation, and Assessment for beneficiaries referred by the National Program Management Office-DSWD (NPMO) under the OFW Caravan initiative.
The activity aimed to introduce SLP services, validate participant information, and assess potential livelihood opportunities for Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) families. It also provided a platform to align program interventions with the needs and capacities of the identified beneficiaries.
The orientation was led by Provincial Coordinator Rasmiah A. Eppie-Lomondot and was held at the MSSD Office Session Hall in Marawi City, Lanao del Sur.

On April 16, 2026, the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) of MSSD-BARMM LSA convened a consultative meeting with the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in Marawi City, Lanao del Sur. The initiative underscores a shared commitment to empowering Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) through sustainable and inclusive livelihood opportunities.
Key discussions centered on identifying priority PDL beneficiaries and assessing viable livelihood interventions that can support their rehabilitation and eventual reintegration into society. The dialogue also highlighted the importance of inter-agency collaboration in delivering responsive and impactful programs.
Present during the meeting were Provincial Coordinator Rasmiah A. Eppie-Lomondot, alongside BJMP officials: J/Insp. Paiza A. Cariga, Deputy Warden; JO3 Ali-Khamiene L. Said, Chief of the Unit Welfare and Development; and JO3 Norain Alawiya, Chief of Administration.

Today, April 7, 2026, the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) of MSSD-BARMM LSA conducted an Organizational Development and Leadership Training for the Zero Hunger SLP Association in Masiu, Lanao del Sur.

The activity brought together the 17 members of the Amaloy Women’s Marketing SLPA and featured the election of their new set of officers & signing of bulaws—marking a step forward in building strong, women-led community enterprises. 💙

☑️The MSSD–SLP Lanao del Sur A successfully conducted a Technical Assistance activity for two Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) Associations following the emergence of internal conflicts among SLPA officers. The activity was led by Provincial Coordinator Rasmiah Eppie-Lomondot, together with the SLP Team.

The technical assistance focused on conflict resolution, a structured process aimed at addressing disagreements or misunderstandings in a calm, respectful, and constructive manner, primary objectives were to enhance communication, reduce tension, and promote mutual understanding among all members to arrive at fair and effective solutions. Through peaceful and collaborative conflict resolution, organizational relationships are strengthened, cooperation is encouraged, and the occurrence of future conflicts is reduced.

This initiative demonstrates the program’s continued commitment to community empowerment, organizational strengthening, and sustainable livelihood support for SLP Associations across the province.
