Ride for Peace: Basilan Loop Unites Security Forces, Local Government, and Communities.
CAMP LUIS R. BIEL II, Isabela City — In a strong demonstration of unity and commitment to lasting peace, the 1101st Infantry Brigade, under the leadership of Brigadier General Frederick M. Sales PA, in partnership with the 3rd Scout Ranger Battalion led by Lieutenant Colonel Lawrence R. San Juan, 153rd Civil-Military Operations Company, Philippine National Police (PNP) Basilan, the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Basilan headed by Governor Mujiv S. Hataman, Moro Islamic Liberation Front (M**F), and the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) successfully conducted the “Ride for Peace: Basilan Loop."
The activity brought together military personnel, law enforcement agencies, and civilian stakeholders in a collective effort to promote solidarity, mutual trust, and sustained peace across the province. Participants traversed key areas of Basilan, symbolizing freedom of movement, strengthened cooperation, and the shared responsibility of safeguarding peace and order.
The Ride for Peace underscores the continuing collaboration among government forces, local leadership, and partner organizations in advancing peace initiatives and fostering a secure environment conducive to development. It also served as a platform to reinforce partnerships, build community confidence, and highlight the progress achieved through unified efforts.
