Alhamdulillah.

Today marks the official opening of our Barangay Child Development Center and the successful conduct of the Parents' Orientation led by the Child Development Worker. This activity strengthens the partnership between parents, Child Development Worker, and the community in providing a safe, nurturing, and quality learning environment for our children.

We are also pleased to announce that the opening of classes will officially begin on June 15, 2026. We look forward to welcoming our young learners as they start their educational journey.

Thank you to all parents and stakeholders for your support and active participation in making this endeavor a success.

Thank you also to our Punong Barangay Hon. Sohra C. Macaraob, AlHadj., for your continued support of our young learners and the Child Development Center.

On May 25, 2026, the Municipal Social Welfare Officer, ma’am ROHANIDA S. RAMOS, RSW conducted a visitation and inspection for the reopening of the Child Development Center. With the presence of Punong Barangay and Child Development Worker, the visitation was successfully completed.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our Punong Barangay Hon. Sohra C. Macaraob for the unwavering support, dedication, and efforts in ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment for our young learners. Your commitment to early childhood education is truly appreciated.

We would also like to express our heartfelt thanks to the Municipal Social Welfare Officer, Ma’am ROHANIDA S. RAMOS, RSW, for her guidance, support, and encouragement in making the reopening of our Child Development Center possible. Alhamdulillah. One of the Barangay Officials of Barangay Tacub Pindolonan successfully participated and completed the 1-Day Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Training Course and the 3-Days Community-Based Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Training Course facilitated and conducted by the Office of Civil Defense at The Loft Hotel, Iligan City.

This training was participated by the barangay officials of selected Barangay from different Municipality such as Municipality of Marantao, Municipality of Tamparan, Municipality of Mulondo, Municipality of Madalum, Municipality of Bayang, Municipality of Sultan Dumalondong, Municpality of Ganassi, Municipality of Tubaran, and Municipality of Lumbatan.

Thank you Civil Defense BAR and also Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office - Marantao for reccommending our Barangay as one of the participants for this training.

A coordination meeting was successfully conducted by the Punong Barangay, Hon. SOHRA C. MACARAOB,Alhadj., together with the BPAT members in preparation for the upcoming National Maswarah to be held in our Barangay this May 8-10, 2026. The meeting focused on strengthening peace and order, enhancing security measures, and ensuring the safety of all residents, guests, and participants throughout the event.

Through the leadership and guidance of our Punong Barangay, the BPAT personnel remains committed to maintaining vigilance, unity, and public safety to ensure that the Philippine National Maswarah will be peaceful, organized, and successful. This initiative reflects the barangay’s dedication to service, cooperation, and community security for the welfare of everyone.

With deep sorrow, we share that one of the Tabligh participants in the National Mashwara has passed away. Today, he was respectfully brought back to his home by our BPAT members through the Barangay Rescue Vehicle.

May he rest in peace, and may his family be given strength during this time.

His presence, dedication, and spirit will always be remembered by the community. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family during this difficult time.

In continuation of the Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team (BPAT) duty, personnel remain actively deployed to uphold peace, order, and public safety within the community. Regular patrol operations, area monitoring, and close coordination with local authorities are consistently conducted daily to ensure a secure and orderly environment for all residents.

Through the strong leadership and dedicated efforts of our Punong Barangay, Hon. Sohra C. Macaraob, AlHadj., the BPAT continues to enhance its readiness and operational effectiveness. In anticipation of the upcoming Philippine National Mashwara to be held in our Barangay, heightened security measures and proactive initiatives are being implemented to maintain stability and ensure the safety of all participants and constituents.

The team remains steadfast in its commitment to disciplined service, vigilance, and cooperation—reinforcing its vital role in promoting peace, safeguarding the community, and supporting the success of all forthcoming activities.

BPAT Training on Early Emergency Response 🚨

The Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team (BPAT) successfully participated in a comprehensive training on Early Emergency Response conducted by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office - Marantao (MDRRMO). This activity aims to strengthen the capacity of barangay frontliners in responding effectively to various emergencies and unforeseen incidents within the community.

The training focused on equipping participants with essential knowledge and practical skills in handling emergency situations, including basic life support, first aid, rapid response, and proper coordination during disasters. Through hands-on exercises and simulations, BPAT members enhanced their readiness and confidence in ensuring the safety and well-being of residents.

Barangay Convergence Forum for Peace, Order, and Security 🤝

In line with the continuous effort to strengthen peace, order, and public safety, the Barangay Convergence Forum for Peace, Order, and Security was successfully conducted through the coordination of the Municipal Mayor’s Office and with the approval and full support of Mayor Akira I. Alonto. This initiative highlights the commitment of the local government and partner agencies to ensure a safe, orderly, and secure environment for all, especially in preparation for the upcoming National Maswara.

The forum served as a platform to discuss significant matters related to maintaining peace and order, enhancing security measures, and promoting proactive solutions to community issues. Through open dialogue and shared commitment, barangay officials were able to exchange ideas, align strategies, and reinforce their roles in ensuring a safe and resilient environment for all residents.

This meaningful activity was made possible through the active participation and coordination of Barangay Tacub Pindolonan, Barangay Banga Pantar, and Barangay Cawayan Bacolod, whose joint efforts reflect strong solidarity and cooperation among barangays. Their involvement underscores the importance of grassroots leadership in implementing effective peace and security initiatives.

Moreover, the presence and support of the Municipal Local Government Operation Officer Sir MASBUD A. GAIMA II, the Marantao Municipal Police Station Chief of Police PMAJ. BOBBY E EGERRA, and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Operations Officer, 1st CMO Batallion, Capt. LINBERG I. GABLAN further strengthened the forum. Their guidance, expertise, and commitment play a vital role in ensuring that all necessary security protocols are in place.

In addition, Mayor Akira I. Alonto, together with the Chief of Police, PMAJ BOBBY E. EGERRA, representatives from the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), CAPT. LINBERG I. GABLAN and the three Punong Barangays, HON. SOHRA C. MACARAOB, HON. DIATOR AMPUAN, HON. ASLIAH MADID, conducted a visit to the venue for the upcoming National Maswara held in Barangay Tacub Pindolonan. This visit highlights their proactive efforts in ensuring that all preparations are in place and that peace and security measures are effectively implemented for the said event.
