Bahay Nakpil-Bautista -Tahanan ng mga Katipunero A well-preserved, century old, National historical landmark house
in the heart of Quiapo

The remarkable fusion of its architecture, Pilipino (bahay na bato at kahoy), and its style, Viennese Secession was by one of the first and finest Philippine architects, Arcadio Arellano. The Bahay was home to the country's first National Artist for Architecture, Juan Nakpil. He and his siblings were children of Gregoria de Jesus (Lakambini ng Katipunan) and Julio Nakpil, Katipunero and composer of revolution-inspired pieces.

Bilang pagtatapos sa pagdiriwang ng Pambansang Buwan ng Pamana ngayong Mayo, itinatampok ng Tanghalang Metropolitan, sa pakikipagtulungan ng Pambansang Komisyon para sa Kultura at mga Sining (NCCA) at Panasonic: Projector and Display, ang "Manila Carnival Queens: Celebration of Filipino Womanhood." Ang natatanging dula ay isinulat ni Nicolas Pichay, sa direksyon ni Rem Zamora, at lapat sa orihinal na musika ni Vincent A. de Jesus.

Saksihan ang pagbibigay buhay sa mga makasaysayang caryatid ng MET upang maglakbay sa iba’t ibang panahon. Sabay-sabay nating balikan ang kuwento ng mga tanyag na Carnival Queens ng Maynila at ang kanilang makabuluhang ambag sa lipunang Pilipino.

Gaganapin ang libreng pagtatanghal na ito sa Tanghalang Metropolitan, Maynila sa darating na Mayo 30, 2026, sa ganap na ika-7 ng gabi.
