3 SEPTEMBER 2026 | PRECINCT VISITATION

PAO Manila District Division BLawyers visited the Manila Police District – Meisic Police Station (PS-11) to meet its key officials and to ensure that the Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) are given adequate legal representation.

This is in consonance with PAO Office Order No. 113 Series of 2023 directing Public Attorneys to continue their jail visitation activities to aid in jail decongestion.

On 27 August 2026, Atty. Patrick G. Montemayor, Public Attorney IV and Officer-in-Charge of the PAO–Manila District Office, attended the Quarterly Service Providers’ Meeting at the Manila City Jail–Female Dormitory.

The meeting addressed the latest policies, accreditation requirements, and operational concerns affecting service providers, with the aim of strengthening coordination and ensuring the effective delivery of services to persons deprived of liberty.

On 27 August 2026, newly appointed Cabinet Secretary Benjamin “Benhur” Abalos Jr. presided over a meeting at Malacañang Palace concerning the proposed OFW Legal Advisory Assistance Program (OLAAP), which aims to provide accessible online legal consultations to overseas Filipino workers.

The meeting was attended by PAO Chief Public Attorney Persida V. Rueda-Acosta, together with Atty. Oliver Mateo and Atty. Cayetano Cauan III of the Public Attorney’s Office–Manila District.
