Filipinos undergoing continuous treatment for chronic and life-threatening illnesses will continue to have access to more medicines at lower prices after the Bureau of Internal Revenue added 16 more to the growing list of those no longer subject to value-added tax.

Lowering prices of medicines by removing VAT is part of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s agenda to make quality healthcare accessible and affordable for all Filipinos.

Simula August 15, itataas na sa β‚±12 kada litro ang fuel discount para sa mga jeepney at UV Express drivers, alinsunod sa direktiba ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. na palawakin ang suporta sa sektor ng transportasyon.

Maaari nang umabot sa β‚±1,800 kada linggo ang matitipid ng bawat kwalipikadong driver. Dagdag ito sa naunang β‚±10 kada litro na fuel discount na inilunsad noong Abril at nakatulong na sa mahigit 93,000 PUV drivers sa buong bansa.

Layunin ng dagdag na diskwento na maibsan ang epekto ng pagtaas ng presyo ng petrolyo dulot ng pandaigdigang pangyayari, habang patuloy na sinusuportahan ang kabuhayan ng ating mga driver.

Public-utility jeepney (PUJ) and utility vehicles (UV) express drivers will get higher fuel subsidy of P12 per liter starting Aug. 15, P2 more than the current P10-per-liter discount they are receiving.

The additional subsidy comes as President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ordered additional support to the transport sector while the impact of the Middle East crisis lingers.
