Ernesto Lopez National High School (ELNHS) officially welcomed pre-service teachers from the Southern Philippines Agribusiness and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) as they begin their Field Study 1 and 2.
Supported by the Department of Education Division of Davao Occidental, the partnership seeks to bridge theory and practice by providing aspiring educators with firsthand experiences in classroom instruction, school management, and professional teaching standards.
Through this collaboration, ELNHS will serve as a training ground where pre-service teachers can develop competencies aligned with the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST) and the K to 12 Curriculum.
During their FS 1 and FS 2, pre-service teachers are required to observe their cooperating teachers as part of their experiential learning journey.
This requirement aims to inculcate a deeper understanding of effective teaching practices, professional ethics, classroom management, and learner engagement strategies.
As the partnership begins, Ernesto Lopez National High School extends its sincere gratitude to the Southern Philippines Agribusiness and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) for selecting ELNHS as its partner institution in the preparation of future educators.
