Brgy Matalin, Malabang Lanao del Sur - The 101st Infantry “Three Red Arrows” Brigade strengthened its commitment to troop welfare and operational readiness as Brigadier General Yasser R. Bara, Brigade Commander, conducted a series of visits to the patrol bases of the 64th Infantry “Knights” Battalion to personally assess the situation of CAFGU Active Auxiliary (CAA) members under their area of responsibility.

During the visit, BGen Bara engaged the CAAs in open dialogue, checking their living conditions, operational concerns, and overall morale. He emphasized that frontline community defenders remain a vital component of the security architecture in Lanao del Sur and adjacent areas.

Key Highlights of the Visit

• On‑Ground Assessment:
BGen Bara inspected the readiness and security posture of each patrol base, ensuring that CAAs have the necessary support to perform their duties effectively.

• Morale and Welfare Support:
As part of the Brigade’s continuing effort to uplift the well-being of its personnel, he distributed Combat Clothing Individual Equipment (CCIE) items, including:
• Rubber shoes
• Olive drab shirts
• Socks
• Belts

He commended the CAAs for their dedication to safeguarding communities, noting that their sacrifices often go unseen but remain essential to sustaining peace and stability in the region. Furthermore, he underscored that the Brigade will continue to prioritize the welfare of its soldiers and CAAs, saying that “a well-supported force is a mission-ready force.” He also encouraged them to maintain vigilance, professionalism, and unity as partners in peacebuilding.

Strengthening the Frontlines

The visit reflects the Brigade’s proactive leadership approach—ensuring that those securing far-flung communities feel valued, equipped, and connected to the larger mission of peace and development in Lanao del Sur.

Brgy. Matalin, Malabang, Lanao del Sur – The 101st Infantry (Three Red Arrows) Brigade, under the leadership of Brigadier General Yasser R. Bara, Commander held a send-off ceremony for the 12th Division Reconnaissance Company (12DRC) on April 7, 2026, at the Brigade Headquarters.

During the ceremony, Captain Cristone L. Beldad, Company Commander, together with the Officers and personnel of 12DRC, was awarded Military Merit Medals and given tokens in recognition of their valuable service and contributions to the Brigade’s mission.

In his message, Brigadier General Bara thanked the troops for their dedication and hard work during their time with the unit. He encouraged them to continue doing their best in their new assignments and to maintain the same level of professionalism and commitment. He also reminded them to stay safe as they move to and adjust to their new areas.

The ceremony ended with a farewell handshake between the Brigade Commander, officers, and the departing personnel as a sign of appreciation and support for their next assignment.

Brgy. Matalin, Malabang, Lanao del Sur – The 101st Infantry (Three Red Arrows) Brigade, led by Brigadier General Yasser R. Bara, conducted a Monday Flag Raising Ceremony to welcome a newly assigned Brigade Officer at the Brigade Headquarters on April 6, 2026.

The ceremony was attended by Brigade Staff Officers and personnel from its operational control (OPCON) units. During the activity, Captain Elham A. Sirajan was formally welcomed as the new Brigade S7 Officer.

As part of the program, Brig. Gen. Bara led the pinning of the unit patch on Captain Sirajan, followed by his message. In his remarks, Captain Sirajan introduced himself and expressed his commitment to contribute to the Brigade’s mission and accomplishments.

In his message, Brig. Gen. Bara warmly welcomed Captain Sirajan and encouraged him to give his best in his new role. He also expressed confidence in the officer’s ability to support the Brigade and wished him a meaningful and productive stay in the unit.

The activity highlighted the Brigade’s unity and continued commitment to effective leadership and service.

Brgy. Matalin, Malabang, Lanao del Sur – On March 31, 2026, Brigadier General Yasser R. Bara, Brigade Commander of the 101st Infantry (Three Red Arrows) Brigade, together with the Commanding Officers of the 64th Infantry Battalion and 51st Infantry Battalion, held a dialogue with Hon. Alber Pacalna Balindong, Mayor of Tugaya.

The meeting was held at the Brigade Headquarters to discuss the peace and order situation in the Brigade’s Area of Operations.

The activity aimed to strengthen coordination between the military and the local government to help maintain peace and security in the area.

Brgy. Matalin, Malabang, Lanao del Sur – The 101st Infantry (Three Red Arrows) Brigade, led by Brigadier General Yasser R. Bara, Commander conducted a Simultaneous Flag Raising Ceremony in connection with a candle-lighting activity to remember the victims of the New People’s Army (NPA) as part of its 57th anniversary. The activity also marked the culmination of the National Women’s Month Celebration 2026, held at the Brigade Headquarters on March 30, 2026.

The ceremony was attended by Brigade staff officers and personnel together with its operational control (OPCON) units. As part of the program, the troops lit candles and observed a moment of silence to honor the victims.

During the activity, Brig. Gen. Bara led the reading of the message from the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. The message highlighted the effects of conflict and violence on families and communities, reminding everyone of their duty to serve the country, uphold the law, and protect the people.

This was followed by the message from the Commanding General of the Philippine Army in celebration of National Women’s Month. The message emphasized the important role of women in building strong and peaceful communities. It also recognized how women continue to inspire change, break barriers, and contribute to national development.

The activity served as a reminder of unity, respect, and the continuing commitment of the Philippine Army to peace and service.

Brgy. Matalin, Malabang, Lanao del Sur — The 101st Infantry (Three Red Arrows) Brigade, under the leadership of Brigadier General Yasser R. Bara, Commander, warmly welcomed Brigadier General Felix Ronnie B. Babac, Assistant Division Commander of the 1st Infantry (Tabak) Division, during his farewell visit at the Brigade Headquarters on March 26, 2026.

Brigadier General Bara, together with his staff officers, operational control (OPCON) units, and enlisted personnel, received Brigadier General Babac as part of his official visit. During the activity, he also signed the Brigade’s guest book.

As part of the program, Brigadier General Babac conducted a “Talk to Troops,” where he commended Brigadier General Bara for his strong leadership and dedication to the Brigade’s mission. He also reminded the troops to stay away from illegal activities that could ruin their careers and affect their well-being.

Furthermore, Brigadier General Babac encouraged the troops to remain disciplined and to follow the rules and policies of the Philippine Army, emphasizing the importance of integrity and professionalism in sustaining long-term service.

Brgy. Matalin, Malabang, Lanao del Sur – The 101st Infantry (Three Red Arrows) Brigade under the leadership of Brigadier General Yasser R. Bara, Commander together with its operational control (OPCON) units, participated in the Simultaneous Flag Raising Ceremony celebrating the 129th Founding Anniversary of the Philippine Army, with a theme “Ang Inyong Matatag na Hukbong Katihan” on March 19, 2026, at the Brigade Headquarters.

During the program, Colonel Edgar Allan S. Villanueva, Deputy Brigade Commander, read the message of the Commanding General, Philippine Army.

In his message, the Commanding General thanked all the troops and personnel for their service and sacrifices. He said the Army remains strong because of its unity, courage, and dedication.
He also recognized troops serving in far-flung and dangerous areas, as well as the support of garrison units and civilian personnel.

He reminded everyone not to be complacent and to remain ready for future challenges. He also called on all personnel to continue serving the nation and protecting freedom.

The Commanding General expressed his full trust in every soldier’s ability to overcome any challenge.

The ceremony ended with troops reaffirming their commitment to remain ready, united, and dedicated to their mission.

Brgy. Matalin, Malabang, Lanao del Sur – The 101st Infantry (Three Red Arrows) Brigade, under the leadership of Brigadier General Yasser R. Bara, Commander conducted its 1st Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill on March 12, 2026, together with its operational control (OPCON) units.

The activity aimed to help troops practice the proper actions during an earthquake and prepare them to respond to different emergency situations. The drill also helped improve coordination and readiness among the participating units.

After the drill, an accounting of troops was conducted to ensure that all personnel were safe and properly assembled. The activity also allowed senior NCOs to review the movement and actions of the troops so that corrections and improvements could be made for future drills.

Through this activity, the Brigade strengthened its preparedness and ensured that its personnel are ready to respond and stay safe during natural disasters.
