Phil-pen with series of test screening such as RBS and URS were conducted in celebration of World Kidney Day!

Health advocacy about various Non Communicable Diseases were discussed including Chronic Kidney Disease, its signs and symptoms and how it will be prevented thru lifestyle modifications.

The BHS Poblacion 2 celebrate it by empowering this year theme “𝙺𝚘𝚖𝚞𝚗𝚒𝚍𝚊𝚍 𝙿𝚊𝚝𝚊𝚝𝚊𝚐𝚒𝚗 𝙷𝚊𝚖𝚘𝚗 𝚗𝚐 𝙳𝚒𝚊𝚋𝚎𝚝𝚎𝚜 𝙷𝚊𝚛𝚊𝚙𝚒𝚗”. BHS conducted awareness on Diabetes after Philpen Screening Day! Bukas po ang aming BHS para sa Non Communicable Diseases/Philpen Screening every Tuesday!

Dengue Awareness was also conducted, Tag-ulan na! 5S ating iactivate!

-Seek EARLY Consultation
-Support Fogging in outbreak areas
-Sustain hydration

In partnership with the Ministry of Health - BARMM and LGU Parang, the RHU Parang proudly brings you a Mobile FREE Chest X-Ray as part of the National Tuberculosis Program (NTP) and Active Case Finding (ACF) Initiative!

📅 SCHEDULE:
✅ July 23, 2025 (Wednesday) – RHU Parang Compound
✅ July 24, 2025 (Thursday) – Barangay Nituan, Parang, Maguindanao del Norte

🧑‍⚕️ This FREE SERVICE aims to detect early signs of tuberculosis (TB) and help our community breathe easier and live healthier. Calling all residents from nearby barangays — Tara na at magpa-X-ray nang LIBRE!

📌 REMINDERS FOR PARTICIPANTS:

✅ Pre-register at your nearest Barangay Health Station (BHS)

💧 Stay hydrated – drink plenty of water before the procedure

😷 Wear your facemask

👕 Wear loose, comfortable clothing

⛔ Avoid zippers, buttons, or metal accessories

⛔ Remove jewelry (necklaces, rings, belts, etc.)

🪪 Bring your PhilHealth ID or any valid ID

🫁 Early detection is key to TB prevention and cure. Let’s work together to build a TB-free Parang!

May 23, 2025 | BHS Poblacion 2, Parang, Maguindanao del Norte

The Barangay Health Station (BHS) Poblacion 2 conducted orientation on what Hypertension is by just simply internalizing the theme for this year,
“ʜɪɴᴅɪ ᴏᴀ! ʜɪɴᴅɪ ᴏᴋ! ʀᴇɢᴜʟᴀʀ ɴᴀ ᴍᴀɢᴘᴀ-ʙᴘ! ᴘᴀɴᴀᴛɪʟɪʜɪɴɢ ᴍᴀʟᴜsᴏɢ ᴀɴɢ ᴋᴀᴛᴀᴡᴀɴ sᴀ ᴘᴀᴍᴀᴍᴀɢɪᴛᴀɴ ɴɢ ᴛᴇᴅ: ᴛᴀᴍᴀɴɢ ᴘᴀɢᴋᴀɪɴ, ᴇʜᴇʀsɪsʏᴏ ᴀᴛ ᴅɪsɪᴘʟɪɴᴀ”.

The session was led by Shahanie Aragasi, RN covering the following topics:
✔️What is Hypertension
✔️BP Categories
✔️Causes and Risks Factors
✔️Symptoms and it’s Silent Nature
✔️Possible Complications
✔️Diagnosis and Monitoring
✔️Medication and Medical Management
✔️Lifestyle Modifications

Participants included selected community members from 20 years old above who are at risk of having Comorbidities.
Ms. Nor-ain B. Andoy, RM also conducted Philpen Assessment on the said participants.

📌Distribution of pamphlets regarding MPox was also done with short discussion on the following:
✔️What MPox is
✔️Signs and Symptoms
✔️Mode of Transmission and it’s management
✔️Reducing Stigma and promoting early reporting

Oral Health Month Celebration 2025
📍Barangay Poblacion 2, Parang, MDN

Theme: “Pamilya, Una kong Dentista: (Sugar away, para walang tooth decay! Magsipilyo dalawang beses kada araw at regular na bumisita sa Dentista.)“

Inputs were given by our Municipal Dentist Dr. Sophia Ibay and Shahanie Aragasi, RN- Pob 2 NS. Program initiated by our very own Midwives Ms. Nor-ain B. Andoy, RM, Saida P. Ondi, RM and BHWs.
