Guided by the theme, “Different Contexts, Common Aspirations,” the youth of Maco once again demonstrated that talent, creativity, and determination know no boundaries during the Provincial Linggo ng Kabataan 2026, held on August 21, 2026, in the Municipality of Mabini.

Today’s immersion at the waste disposal facility was an eye-opening reality check on the environmental challenges our community faces every day. Seeing the scale of our waste firsthand reminded us that sustainability starts with accountability—from proper segregation at home to progressive local policies.

As Junior Youth Public Officials, we are more motivated than ever to champion eco-friendly initiatives, advocate for proper waste management, and inspire the youth to protect our green future. 🌍💚

𝗠𝗔𝗖𝗢, 𝗗𝗔𝗩𝗔𝗢 𝗗𝗘 𝗢𝗥𝗢 — The Junior Legislative Officials of the Municipal Junior Youth Public Officials (JYPO) of Maco 2026, Batch Hiraya, took part in a meaningful dialogue with 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚 𝐑𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐨, fondly known as the “Doktora ng Masa,” as part of their activities on the second day of the JYPO program.

The dialogue provided the young officials with an opportunity to learn more about the roles and responsibilities of local legislative leaders while gaining insights into the realities of public service. The JYPO delegates were also given the chance to interact with the employees of the Sangguniang Bayan (SB) Office, allowing them to gain a closer understanding of how the legislative arm of the municipal government operates.

Beyond discussions on governance and public service, Vice Mayor Rimando shared valuable life lessons, experiences, and words of wisdom with the young leaders. Her stories and insights encouraged the delegates to look beyond their titles and recognize that leadership is rooted in service, responsibility, and genuine concern for the community.

The interaction also became one of the highlights of the day for the Batch Hiraya delegates. Their enthusiasm was evident as they continued discussing the lessons and memorable moments from the conversation even after the activity.

The Local Youth Development Office (LYDO) of Maco extends its appreciation to Vice Mayor Rimando for generously sharing her time, experiences, and wisdom with the municipality’s young leaders.

The dialogue served as a meaningful reminder to the JYPO delegates that every conversation with a public servant is an opportunity to learn, every lesson is an opportunity to grow, and every young leader has the potential to make a difference in the community.

From stepping into their respective offices, meeting public servants, observing the work behind government service, and experiencing the realities of leadership firsthand, Day 1 was filled with new experiences, meaningful lessons, and moments worth remembering. 🏛️🌱

With hands raised and hearts committed to service, our Junior Youth Public Officials begin their journey not simply as young leaders carrying a title, but as young people entrusted with the opportunity to learn, lead, and serve.
