79 Years of Service to the Nation.

Today, we proudly join the entire Philippine Air Force in celebrating its 79th Founding Anniversary—a milestone that reflects nearly eight decades of unwavering commitment to defending our nation's skies, protecting our people, and serving with honor, courage, and excellence.

As members of the PAF ROTC Alumni Association, Inc (PAFRAAI), we pay tribute to the generations of Airmen whose dedication, professionalism, and sacrifice have strengthened the Philippine Air Force into the respected Institution it is today.

Our ROTC journey instilled in us the same values of patriotism, discipline, integrity, leadership, and selfless service. Though many of us now serve in different professions and communities, we remain united by our commitment to support the mission and ideals of the Philippine Air Force.

May this anniversary inspire every alumnus to continue becoming ambassadors of excellence, responsible citizenship, and nation-building.

2LT NICOLLE O SERWELAS PAF, who secured Top 2 (Deputy Commander’s Award) in the Air Weapons Controller Course Class 2025B, stands as a shining example of what it means to rise above challenges and deliver beyond expectations. Her achievement reflects not only technical mastery, but also the character, focus, and determination required of those entrusted with safeguarding our skies.

A proud member of POTC “Bagsiktala” Class of 2023, 2LT Serwelas lives out the very essence of their class name, “Bangis at Galing ng Sundalong Iaalay ang Katapatan, Talino at Lakas sa Bayan.” This recognition is not just a personal milestone—it is a testament to the values she carries, the training she embraced and the standard she now sets for others to follow.

A simple boodle fight hosted by the PAFRAAI President.

Today, we celebrate not just another year in the life of Colonel Garry L Atienza PAF (GSC), President, Philippine Air Force ROTC Alumni Association, Inc., but the kind of leadership that brings people together and strengthens the bonds that matter most.

Surrounded by fellow PAFRAAI members assigned at the Air Education and Training Command, the celebration was simple yet meaningful—highlighted by a boodle fight that reflected our shared values of camaraderie, humility, and unity. More than the food on the table, it was the laughter, stories, and genuine connections that made the moment truly special.

COL Atienza expressed his heartfelt appreciation to everyone who took the time to be present. In his words and actions, we are reminded that leadership is not just about command, but about building relationships and fostering a sense of belonging.

Moments like this reaffirm what PAFRAAI stands for—a strong, united community grounded in mutual respect and shared purpose. Together, we continue to build a solid foundation that will carry us forward in service and in brotherhood.

From the whole Philippine Air Force ROTC Alumni Association Inc (PAFRAAI) community, we would like to greet our President, Colonel Garry L Atienza PAF (GSC), a heartfelt Happy Birthday. 🥂 🍻

Today is not just about celebrating another year but also about recognizing the kind of leadership you’ve shown to all of us. In your own quiet and steady way, you’ve helped bring people together and reminded us what it means to be part of this organization not just in name of the Alumni Association but in purpose.

What we appreciate most is how real and grounded your leadership is. No need for big words or grand gestures, you lead by example, by simply doing your part and staying committed. That kind of approach makes it easier for others to follow, to contribute and to believe in what we’re building as a community.

Through your guidance, many of us have found a stronger sense of connection not just to PAFRAAI, but to each other. You’ve helped shape an environment where we support one another, where we try to do better and where we remember that being part of this organization means something.

We know leadership is not always easy and much of the work goes unseen. But please know that your efforts are felt and appreciated by the people around you.
