In celebration of 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗸𝘀’ 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵, the Municipality of Lupon conducted a 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻-𝗨𝗽 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 on May 21, 2026, carrying the theme: “𝙋𝙖𝙜𝙗𝙞𝙗𝙞𝙜𝙖𝙮-𝙥𝙪𝙜𝙖𝙮 𝙨𝙖 𝙢𝙜𝙖 𝙈𝙖𝙜𝙨𝙖𝙨𝙖𝙠𝙖 𝙖𝙩 𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙞𝙨𝙙𝙖 𝙨𝙖 𝙂𝙞𝙩𝙣𝙖 𝙣𝙜 𝙃𝙖𝙢𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙩 𝙆𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙨.”

The activity gathered participants in a shared effort to 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁. Messages from stakeholders and local leaders highlighted the importance of 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝘃𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀.

Beyond cleaning coastal areas, the initiative reinforced collective action in 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀.

Mayor Alonzo reaffirmed the municipality’s support for the initiative, emphasizing that through One Line of Government and strong collaboration, 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝘂𝗽𝗼𝗻.

The Local Government Unit of Lupon convened another 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫-𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 to discuss updates, ongoing initiatives, and priority concerns affecting various sectors within the municipality.

The meeting served as a venue for coordination among departments regarding community assistance programs, food security initiatives, coastal development efforts, priority infrastructure projects, health services, human resource management, education-related initiatives, public concerns, and other government programs aimed at improving service delivery.

The Local Government Unit of Lupon participated in a coordination meeting and benchmarking activity with 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 (𝗟𝗧𝗢) – 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗫𝗜 as part of the continuing preparations for the establishment of the future 𝗟𝗧𝗢 – 𝗟𝘂𝗽𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲.

Present during the activity were 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗼𝘀 “𝗦𝗼𝗻𝗻𝘆” 𝗤. 𝗔𝗹𝗼𝗻𝘇𝗼, 𝗝𝗿., 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝘆. 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗟𝗮𝘄𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 “𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲” 𝗚𝗼, department heads, and the LTO XI team led by 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝘆. 𝗘𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼 𝗥𝗮𝗽𝗵𝗮𝗲𝗹 𝗩. 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗼.

The benchmarking activity aimed to gather insights on administrative procedures, facility management, operational systems, and best practices that will help ensure the future LTO office in Lupon will be 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀.

Once operational, the LTO Lupon Extension Office is expected to bring essential services such as 𝘃𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗹, 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 closer to Luponians and neighboring communities—reducing travel time while improving access to government services.

The activity also highlights the commitment of LGU Lupon and national agencies to work together under the principle of 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, strengthening partnerships that create more 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲-𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲.

Local leaders of 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗼 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 came together on May 13, 2026, for an important province-led meeting on rising prices and the effects of the El Niño phenomenon, hosted by 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗼𝗿 𝗡𝗲𝗹𝘀𝗼𝗻 “𝗕𝗼𝘆” 𝗟. 𝗗𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴 at Kanato Hall, Tourism Complex, City of Mati, with 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗼𝘀 “𝗦𝗼𝗻𝗻𝘆” 𝗤. 𝗔𝗹𝗼𝗻𝘇𝗼, 𝗝𝗿. in attendance.

The meeting focused on two major concerns that affect many families and communities: 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗹 𝗡𝗶𝗻̃𝗼. These issues have a direct impact on 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆, 𝗮𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆, 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗲.

Also present from 𝗟𝗚𝗨 𝗟𝘂𝗽𝗼𝗻 were concerned department heads and representatives from the Municipal Planning and Development Office, Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office, Municipal Agriculture Office, Municipal Engineering Office, and the Chairman of the Local Finance Committee.

The gathering served as a timely venue for the 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗼 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 and the municipal LGUs to share updates, discuss concerns, and strengthen coordination. Through this kind of teamwork, local actions can be more prepared, practical, and responsive to the needs of the people.

For Lupon, this is part of the continuing commitment to help protect families, support farmers, and strengthen community readiness through shared action and strong cooperation.

Barangay Langka marked a joyful milestone as it celebrated its 𝟭𝟬𝟱𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗿𝗮𝘄 𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗸𝗮 on May 12, 2026, in Barangay Langka, Lupon, Davao Oriental.

The celebration was filled with color, music, dances, games, food display, and the warm spirit of the Langka community. From the opening ceremony to the dance presentations, awarding activities, lunch, games, and disco at night, the whole day showed how proud and united the people of Barangay Langka are.

The event was graced by 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗼𝘀 “𝗦𝗼𝗻𝗻𝘆” 𝗤. 𝗔𝗹𝗼𝗻𝘇𝗼, 𝗝𝗿., 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗟𝗮𝘄𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 “𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲” 𝗚𝗼, 𝗣𝘂𝗻𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗥𝘂𝗯𝗲𝗻 𝗢𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗮, the 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗞𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗸𝗮, 𝗦𝗕 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗝𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗻̃𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀 and 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗬𝘂𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘀, other Punong Barangays, and guests from different offices.
