𝐒𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐀𝐘𝐀,𝐐𝐔𝐄𝐙𝐎𝐍- On September 4, 2026 around 5 o’clock in the morning, 𝐂𝐎𝐋 𝐍𝐎𝐑𝐋𝐄𝐎 𝐆. 𝐀𝐃𝐃𝐔𝐋𝐀𝐌 𝐎𝐒 (𝐆𝐒𝐂), 𝐏𝐀, 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘯𝘵, College of Sciences, Technology and Communications ROTC Unit, together with the ROTC Training Committee for SY 2026-2027, facilitated the 𝙋𝙝𝙮𝙨𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙁𝙞𝙩𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙏𝙚𝙨𝙩 (𝙋𝙁𝙏) for 54 aspirants of the 𝘾𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙩 𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙧 𝙌𝙪𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙮𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚 (𝘾𝙊𝙌𝘾) 𝘾𝙇-01-2026

Meanwhile, at about 2 o’clock in the afternoon of the same day, the Training Committee conducted the Opening Ceremony of COQC CL-01-2026, attended by 𝘿𝙧. 𝙋𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙖 𝙍. 𝙃𝙚𝙧𝙢𝙤𝙨𝙖, 𝙍𝘾𝙧𝙞𝙢, Dean, School of Criminology and Criminal Justice; 𝙈𝙧. 𝙀𝙙𝙬𝙞𝙣 𝙇. 𝙎𝙚𝙗𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙖𝙣, CST, S03, ROTC Coordinator; and 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙛. 𝘼𝙞𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝘿. 𝘼𝙧𝙜𝙖𝙤, RCrim.

In his message, COL ADDULAM shared valuable experiences from his journey toward becoming a regular officer of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP). He emphasized the importance of embracing the challenges of military training and left the aspirants with a guiding principle embodied in the acronym“𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗧”:

𝙏 – 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 – 𝙀𝙢𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙨 𝙤𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙜𝙧𝙤𝙬.

Following the opening ceremony, the COQC aspirants underwent the traditional military reception rites, marking the beginning of their journey through discipline, hardship, and military training. The activity symbolized their first step toward transformation from aspirants into future cadet leaders.

The day concluded with instruction on military drills and ceremonies, reinforcing the core military values of discipline, accountability, responsibility, and leadership.

𝗟𝗨𝗖𝗘𝗡𝗔 𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗬 | 𝟯𝟬 𝗔𝗨𝗚𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 — The 𝘾𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙩 𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙧 𝙌𝙪𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙮𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚 (𝘾𝙊𝙌𝘾) 𝘾𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙨 01-2026 of the SLSU Lucena ROTC Unit was formally opened by 𝗖𝗢𝗟 𝗡𝗢𝗥𝗟𝗘𝗢 𝗚 𝗔𝗗𝗗𝗨𝗟𝗔𝗠 𝗢𝗦 (𝗚𝗦𝗖), 𝗣𝗔, Commandant. The Commandant were joined by 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗿 𝗡𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗲𝗹𝘆𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮 𝗖𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗼, NSTP-ROTC Coordinator who delivered a Welcome Remarks; and, 𝗠𝗔𝗝 𝗥𝗢𝗠𝗨𝗔𝗟𝗗𝗢 𝗨. 𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗢𝗭𝗔 (𝗥𝗘𝗦), 𝗣𝗔 Assistant Commandant who presented the students and the training for opening, together with the Training Staff, ROTC Officers and Basic Cadets.

The 18 COQC aspirants of ROTC Cadet Officer underwent the Traditional Military Reception Rites, followed by the Pinning of Identification Cards and Closing of Collars, marking the official start of their dumbguardship as 4th Class until their open collar at the end of the semester.

COL ADDULAM emphasized his message by sharing his experiences also as ROTC Officer, whom underwent the COQC, up to his present status as a regular military Officer of the AFP with the acronym of ALERT:
