“COUNTRY ABOVE SELF”
𝑃𝑎𝑔 𝑚𝑎ℎ𝑎𝑙 𝑚𝑜 𝑎𝑛𝑔 𝑏𝑎𝑦𝑎𝑛 𝑚𝑜, 𝑔𝑎𝑔𝑎𝑤𝑎 𝑘𝑎 𝑙𝑎𝑛𝑔 𝑛𝑔 𝑚𝑎𝑏𝑢𝑡𝑖 𝑠𝑎 𝑚𝑎ℎ𝑎𝑙 𝑚𝑜!
Today, on National Heroes Day, we pay tribute to all Filipino heroes whose courage and sacrifices with fervor burning laid the foundation of our Republic.
But beyond remembering the heroes of our past, we also honor the modern-day heroes, our very own civil servants, who love their country not only in words, but through their actions. They remind us that true heroism is rooted in unswerving integrity and conviction.
True heroes tell the people the truth at all times, even when doing so is inconvenient. They are not afraid to stand up for what is right and just. They uphold and enforce the law without fear or favor, because progress requires order, accountability and deep devotion to the rule of law -- not chaos.
Above all, true heroes live by the highest standards of honor and honesty. They refuse to be swayed by power or privilege, choosing instead to put the welfare of the nation above self. Ang bayan, higit sa lahat!
