PhilHealth Expands Coverage: Outpatient Mental Health Package Now Available

Mental health care is now more accessible to Filipinos. PhilHealth has introduced its Outpatient Mental Health Package, providing essential services such as consultations, diagnostic tests, and psychosocial support for individuals aged 10 and above.

With coverage of up to Php 9,000 for general mental health services and Php 16,000 for specialized care, this initiative aims to support those facing conditions such as depression, psychosis, self-harm risks, and other mental health concerns. Services can be accessed at accredited hospitals, rural health units, and mental health clinics nationwide.

This marks a significant step toward strengthening mental health care in the country. No one should suffer in silence—help is now within reach.

The following are the accredited facilities as of March 2025:
1. National Center for Mental Health
2. Mariveles Mental Wellness and General Hospital
3. Cagayan Medical Center
4. Western Visayas Medical Center
5. Bicol Medical Center
