July 30, 2026|Distribution of Inorganic Fertilizer

The Municipal Agriculture Office successfully conducted the distribution of Ammonium Sulphate Fertilizer, Complete Fertilizer, and Humi N+ Fertilizer to registered farmers in Brgy. Alahag, Brgy. Sta. Cruz, and Brgy. Batug.

The Department of Agriculture provided these agricultural inputs under the Masagana Rice Industry Development Program(MRIDP) to support increased crop productivity, improve soil fertility, and help farmers achieve better harvests.

Strengthening our farmers through knowledge, innovation, and partnership!

The Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) Training on Rice Production was successfully conducted for the Farmers Irrigators Association of Brgy. Batug, providing members with practical and sustainable farming technologies to improve rice productivity, enhance climate resilience, and promote environmentally responsible agriculture.

The training covered key topics such as climate-smart rice production, balanced fertilization, water management, integrated pest management (IPM), and Good Agricultural Practices (GAP)—empowering our farmers to make informed decisions in the face of changing climate conditions.

This activity was made possible through the collaborative efforts of Jardine Distribution Inc., Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC), and LEADS Agri, whose continued support helps strengthen the agricultural sector and improve the livelihood of our farming communities.

Together, we grow stronger, harvest better, and build a climate-resilient future for our farmers. 🌾💚

Years ago, the Taytay-Iphag-Gapas Irrigators Association (TIGIA), Inc. in Brgy. Sta. Cruz, Jaro, Leyte carried out its activities in a humble bahay kubo that served as the association's office in 2020. Within its walls, meetings were held, plans were discussed, and decisions were made for the benefit of the farming community. It was a place where members came together with a common goal of improving irrigation services and strengthening their association through cooperation and shared responsibility.

The TIGIA office today reflects how far the association has progressed through the years. The concrete structure completed in 2023 and now standing in its place serves as a center for coordination, planning, and member engagement, while also symbolizing the collective efforts that helped make its development possible. From its early days to the present, the office has remained a witness to the association's journey, marking the milestones achieved and the commitment of its members to building a stronger future for their community.
