Attended today’s Regional Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) Assessment, together with some of our LGU department heads whom I regularly collaborate with in crafting and strengthening our local ordinances. 🏛️✨

This is an opportunity to showcase our municipality’s continued efforts toward good governance and better public service for every Tanauananon. Together, we continue working for a Better and Brighter Tanauan.💙

Mahirap maging athlete sa Pilipinas, not because we lack talent, but because we lack enough support. Funds that could have gone to sports clinics, proper dormitories, training facilities, equipment, and other needs of our athletes seem to be going somewhere else.

The question was never about Filipino talent. We have proven time and again that Filipinos can compete and excel on the world stage. Ang nakakasad lang, maraming Pilipinong nagdala na ng karangalan sa bansa ang kinailangang magsumikap at humanap ng sariling paraan para masuportahan ang kanilang training. Some even have to solicit help from private companies and individuals for expenses that should ideally be supported by the government.

Hindi talento ang kulang. Support, opportunities, and proper investment in our athletes ang kailangan. 💔🇵🇭

No support showed up. So he funded himself.

Michael Martinez, the Philippines' first world-class figure skater, launched his own GoFundMe campaign and sold online content just to afford a real shot at qualifying for the Winter Olympics, since no sponsor stepped up for a sport the country had never invested in.

Where athletes are people.

The Philippine Sports Commission is inviting all LGUs to send their best student-athletes and out-of-school youth aged 8 to 15 to compete in 30 different sports.

Don't drop the ball on registration! LGUs need to name their Head of Delegation and Deputy Head of Delegation right away.

Email your signed Appointment Forms to [email protected] before the July 15, 2026 deadline.

Missing the deadline means system delays, and onsite registration is completely off the table. Get your paperwork in early so your young champions can bring home the gold!
