MDRRMC MEETING CONDUCTED FOR THE APPROVAL AND ADOPTION OF KEY DRRM PLANS AND GUIDELINES
The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC) of the Municipality of San Miguel, Leyte successfully conducted its council meeting presided over by Municipal Mayor Atty. Norman Dominguez Sabdao , focusing on strengthening the municipality's disaster preparedness, response, and climate resilience initiatives.
During the meeting, council members reviewed, discussed, and endorsed the following key documents and programs for CY 2026โ2028:

El Niรฑo Action Plan 2026โ2028 โ outlining strategies and interventions to mitigate the impacts of drought and prolonged dry conditions on communities, agriculture, water resources, and public health.

Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Guidebook 2026โ2028โ providing operational guidance for effective coordination, information management, and emergency response during disasters and emergencies.

Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) 2026โ2028โ establishing clear protocols, roles, and responsibilities of MDRRMC member agencies to ensure timely and coordinated disaster management actions.

Early Warning System (EWS) Frameworkโ enhancing the municipality's capability to provide accurate, timely, and actionable warnings to communities at risk from various hazards.
The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of the Local Government Unit of San Miguel and its MDRRMC member agencies to build safer, more resilient, and disaster-ready communities through proactive planning, preparedness, and coordinated action.
