LOOK | As Chairman kang Sangguniang Bayan COMMITTEE ON ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND CLIMATE CHANGE ADAPTATION kang Municipality of Leon, atun gn-preside kag ginpangunahan ang Committee Hearing nga ginhiwat sa Barangay Oluangan, Leon, Iloilo. The said hearing was attended by the members of the Committee SB Ruben Calicaran, Vice Chairman, Liga President Rey August de la Gente, Member, Barangay Oluangan Officials headed by PB Noli C. Cabañas, Barangay Ligtos Representatives headed by PB Miguel Calves, MENRO - Leon Officer Feljean Cagape, and PGENRO - Province of Iloilo Head Atty. Cesar Emmanuele P. Buyco Jr.

Ang kahiwatan nagserbe avenue to shed light and to enlighten the attendees regarding some Environmental Concerns and Agenda.

Leonians!

As per report and monitor, Barangay Marirong, Leon, Iloilo is greatly affected due the potential threat of landslide. 80% of the barangay will get affected if no preemptive evacuation was made. 57 families are totally affected 9 household (37 individuals) were already evacuated at Tacuyong Norte Elementary School. Other affected families were expected to stay in the Evacuation Center within this day.

Kun mahimu buligan ta aton mga kasimanwa bisan sa mga kinahanglanon sa pang-adlaw adlaw especially they're staying sa Evacuation Center and no exact time pa kun when sanda pwede ka balik since our Local DRRMO will conduct their final assessment on the area.

This initiative is a partnership with our Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO).

Pasado run sa Opisina kang Sangguniang Bayan ang Municipal Ordinance nga ginsponsor kang inyu alagad bilang Chairman sa Com. on Youth and Sports Development sa banwan kang Leon. Ang Ordinansa ginatiguluhan "An Ordinance Declaring The Last Week Of August Of Every Year As "Semana Kang Pamatan-on Sa Leon" In The Municipality of Leon, Iloilo And Enjoining All Eighty - Five (85) Barangays To Actively Participate In Its Celebration And Providing Funds Thereof."

Pila sa mga katuyuan kang amu ja nga ordinansa ang pagtao kang dungog sa kontribusyon kag sakripisyo kang mga pamatan-on sang tyempo kang pagsaylo kang daan nga banwa halin sa daan nga lokasyon Pueblo del Camando pakdto sa bag-o nga lokasyon ang Sitio Capan kay sa pareho nga semana atun man ginaselebrar ang Handuraw Celebration kang atun banwa. Dugang nga katuyuan amu ang pag-rekognisar kang importante nga katungdanan kang mga pamatan-on sa tukod kag pagpasanyog kang pungsod ukon nation-building kag ginaenganyo nga magpartisipar sa mga programa, proyekto kag aktibidades kang komunidad nga kun sa diin madevelop dugang ang aspeto pisikal, moral, spiritual, intellectual kag sosyal kang tagsa ka mga pamatan-on.

Thank you Gov. Toto Defensor thru the Office of Board Member Bianca Requinto for approving the request nga atun natinguhaan mapatigayon para sa atun nagakinahanglan nga grupo kang Sanggunianh Kabataan sa barangay.

Barangay Lang-og - represented by the their Barangay Treasurer, received a check in the amount of P 50, 000.00 for the purchase of Office Tables and Cabinets for their SK Office.
