The CDA RVI-EO held a consultative meeting with Capiz SP Committee Chair on Cooperatives Cecilio F. Fecundo and Former Provincial Budget Officer G. Antonio T. Arbis regarding the proposed Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the CDA and the Province of Capiz, the Capiz Credit Surety Fund Cooperative, and CFIDP Trainings to be conducted in the Province of Capiz, last August 13, 2026, at Roxas City, Capiz.
The discussion included the forging of MOA between the CDA and the Province of Capiz to ensure alignment of the delivery mechanism for implementing joint programs of the agency and the Local Government Units (LGUs) for cooperatives. These include the proposed Capiz Credit Surety Fund Cooperative (CCSFC) which aims to improve access to financial inclusion among micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and to provide capacity-building programs for Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP) beneficiaries to empower the coconut industry and the agricultural sector of the province.
These concerted efforts will strengthen the partnership between the agency and LGUs to continuously promote the viability and growth of cooperatives as one of the socio-economic drivers of community development.
Some of the key personnel who exhibited their support for these initiatives include: Mr. Francisco Dariagan of the Capiz Provincial Government, Ms. Teresita Bidiones, CCSFC Interim Chairperson, Jeffrey De los Reyes CCSFC Interim Vice-Chairperson, and Ms. Rowena Dela Cruz, CCSFC Interim Treasurer.
