📢 PUBLIC ADVISORY: RETURN TO TEMPORARY 5-DAY WORKWEEK AND ADJUSTED SCHEDULE FOR EID’L ADHA

The Lapu-Lapu City Government informs the public that the temporary compressed 4-day workweek is suspended starting Monday, May 25, 2026. Regular working hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM will resume, and offices will be open on Friday, May 29, 2026.

This adjustment follows the declaration of Wednesday, May 27, 2026, as a Regular Holiday throughout the country in observance of Eid'l Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) under Proclamation No. 1264, s. 2026.

To avoid any inconvenience, residents, visitors, and clients are highly encouraged to plan their transactions accordingly and complete urgent matters before or after the holiday.

We extend our warmest greetings of peace, unity, and prosperity to our Muslim brothers and sisters as they celebrate the holy feast of Eid'l Adha. May this blessed occasion bring deeper reflection and harmony to our community.

Sa pagka karon padayon ang pagtrabaho sa atong multipurpose building nga gisugdan niadtong buwan sa Pebrero. Isip infrastructure chairman sa atong barangay panihunga-on nato nga ato-a ni mahuman aron aduna na kitay magamit sa atong mga programa sama sa seminars.

I wish to inform everyone that Malacañan Palace has officially issued Proclamation No. 1238, declaring May 6 to May 8, 2026, as Special (Non-Working) Days in the City of Lapu-Lapu and the Municipality of Cordova, Province of Cebu.

This declaration comes as our city prepares to host the delegates of the 48th ASEAN Summit and Related Meetings. This measure is being implemented by the national government to prioritize the following:

• Public Safety: To allow our security forces to properly secure the participants and venues of this significant international event.
• Traffic Management: To alleviate road congestion and ensure smooth mobility for both delegates and residents during the summit.
