𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐬 (𝐒𝐌𝐕) 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

The Provincial Government of Northern Samar, through the Office of the Provincial Assessor, conducted a Public Consultation on the proposed Schedule of Market Values (SMV) on February 19, 2026 at the Laoang Center for Sports ,Culture and the Arts (Covered Court), Laoang, Northern Samar.

The activity was attended by Punong Barangays, Barangay Secretaries, representatives from the business sector, LGU Department Heads, National Line Agencies, and the Honorable Members of the Sangguniang Bayan, reaffirming the Municipality’s commitment to transparency and participatory governance.

The consultation highlighted the importance of the updated SMV in relation to real property valuation, taxation, and the implementation of the Real Property Valuation and Assessment Reform Act (RPVARA). Stakeholders were given the opportunity to share their insights, concerns, and recommendations to ensure transparency and proper implementation.

Through the leadership of Hon. Charlene L. Ongchuan, Municipal Mayor, and her commitment to responsible and transparent governance, the Municipality continues to support initiatives that uphold accountability, legal compliance, and sustainable local development.

The Municipality extends its sincere appreciation to the Office of the Provincial Assessor and all participating stakeholders for their meaningful contributions to this important undertaking.
