The stage is set for voices to inspire, stories to come alive, and creativity to shine! Gather your school's finest performers and take part in the Linggo ng Kabataan 2026 Speech Choir Competition, happening on August 29, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Lower Grounds, SM City Laoag. This competition is your opportunity to showcase exceptional teamwork, powerful delivery, and artistic interpretation while celebrating Philippine literature, local history, culture, and heritage.
Here's everything you need to know about the competition!
Exciting cash prizes, trophies, certificates, and recognition await the top-performing schools. The Champion will receive โฑ40,000, while the 1st Runner-Up and 2nd Runner-Up will take home โฑ20,000 and โฑ10,000, respectively. Schools that qualify but do not place will each receive a โฑ5,000 Consolation Prize and a certificate.
Interested schools are reminded that the competition is open to all public and private secondary schools in Laoag City, with one (1) official team per school. Each team may have a maximum of thirty (30) members, inclusive of performers and technical support personnel. Crew members assisting during the performance are required to wear plain black attire.
Participating schools must submit an Accomplished Group Registration Form together with photocopies of a Valid Government-Issued ID and Valid School ID with three (3) specimen signatures for every participant. 1. August 10, 2026 is the deadline for submission of all required documents;
2. August 17, 2026 is the Orientation of Coaches; and
3. August 29, 2026 is the Speech Choir Competition.
