May God reward every sacrifice that no one applauded, every burden you carried in silence, and every prayer you whispered for the people you loved. May He grant you peace, good health, and many more birthdays surrounded by those whose lives are forever different because you chose to serve.

If gratitude could become a monument, it would carry your name. If memories could speak, they would tell stories of a man whose kindness outlived his position.

Dear Keyboard Warriors: Cyberlibel Says Hello

The internet has given everyone a voice, but somewhere along the way, some people confused "freedom of speech" with "freedom from consequences." They act as if a Wi-Fi connection is a magical shield that protects them from accountability.

Spoiler alert: it isn't.

Cyberlibel exists because words have power. A single post, a reckless accusation, a malicious rumor, or a carefully crafted lie can destroy reputations that took years to build. Behind every screen is a real person with a real life, real family, and real dreams. Shocking concept, I know.

And to those who proudly spread false information while hiding behind fake accounts: congratulations. You have successfully traded your integrity for temporary attention. The likes will disappear. The screenshots won't.

Some people mistake cruelty for confidence. They think being loud makes them right. They think humiliating others makes them powerful. But true power isn't found in tearing people down. It is found in having enough character not to.

As one of the many who proudly carry the values of the Padayon family, we know what it feels like to be judged, misrepresented, and talked about by people who know nothing about us. That's exactly why we refuse to become the very thing we fight against. Strength is not gossip. Intelligence is not slander. Empowerment is not character assassination.

So before you type that next post, ask yourself a simple question:

"Can I prove this in court?"

If the answer is no, perhaps your fingers should move a little slower than your ego.

Because one day, the person you mocked may stay silent. The person you lied about may choose dignity. The person you underestimated may simply collect evidence.

And while you're busy chasing clout, they might be chasing accountability.

The internet never forgets.

Neither does the law. 💙😉

Trolls are frustrating. They twist facts, spread lies, and turn meaningful conversations into endless arguments.

Many people think the answer is to fight them with the same anger they give to others. But the truth is, the real opponent of trolls is not another troll—it is an informed and awakened public.

What makes trolls powerful is not their intelligence, influence, or numbers. It is ignorance. Every time misinformation is believed without question, every time people share falsehoods without verifying them, trolls gain ground. They feed on confusion, fear, and division. They want people to react emotionally without thinking critically.

That is why education matters. Awareness matters. Truth matters. A person who seeks facts before judgment becomes difficult to manipulate.

A community that values understanding over blind loyalty becomes impossible to deceive. Knowledge shines a light on the shadows where trolls thrive.

It can be exhausting to witness lies spread faster than truth. It can be disheartening to see people attacked for speaking honestly. But history has always shown that deception has limits. Sooner or later, facts surface.

Sooner or later, people begin to ask questions. Sooner or later, the truth finds its way through the noise.

The fight against trolls is not won through hatred or revenge. It is won when people choose to learn, to think, and to understand. Because in the end, trolls fear only one thing: a society that can no longer be fooled.

Grateful for another opportunity that brings hope and assistance to our community.

Thank you to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) for conducting the Emergency Employment Program orientation and for continuously extending support to those in need.

We also extend our sincere gratitude to Hon. Jeffrey P. Ferrer for helping make this initiative possible and for his continued commitment to providing opportunities for the people.

Together with councilors Mark Threx Rojo, Jegie Aguirre, January "Jan-Jan Alvañez" Abad, Akoy SIA and Baste Benedicto we continue to move forward through service, support, and compassion.

Former Mayor Rex Jalando-on represented our beloved Congressman Jeffrey Ferrer and delivered his message during the distribution of Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS).

In his speech he emphasized the continued commitment of Congressman Ferrer’s office to provide support aid to constituents in need.

The activity forms part of the ongoing efforts to ensure that government assistance reaches the most vulnerable sectors of the community.
