In line with its commitment to promote and protect the rights and welfare of children, the Department of Labor and Employment XII โ€“ Sultan Kudarat Field Office (DOLE XII-SKFO) successfully conducted an Information and Service Caravan on ๐Œ๐š๐ฒ 28, 2026, ๐š๐ญ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐‘๐ž๐ ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐„๐ฏ๐š๐œ๐ฎ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐‚๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ž๐ซ ๐ข๐ง ๐๐จ๐›๐ฅ๐š๐œ๐ข๐จ๐ง, ๐๐š๐ ๐ฎ๐ฆ๐›๐š๐ฒ๐š๐ง, ๐’๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ญ๐š๐ง ๐Š๐ฎ๐๐š๐ซ๐š๐ญ.

The activity benefited 40 ๐—ฐ๐—ต๐—ถ๐—น๐—ฑ ๐—น๐—ฎ๐—ฏ๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜€ ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ถ๐—ฟ ๐—ฝ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜๐˜€, providing them with various services and information aimed at improving their well-being and strengthening the campaign against child labor.

The caravan was made possible through the active participation and support of partner agencies and stakeholders, namely: LGU/PESO Bagumbayan, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), Philippine National Police (PNP) Bagumbayan, Municipal Police Station (WCPD), 1202nd Regional Mobile Force Battalion XII, Municipal Health Office of Bagumbayan, Department of Science and Technology (DOST) -Sultan Kudarat, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) -Sultan Kudarat, Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MWSDO) Bagumbayan, and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority PTC-Sultan Kudarat.

Beneficiaries availed of various ๐Ÿ๐ซ๐ž๐ž ๐ฌ๐ž๐ซ๐ฏ๐ข๐œ๐ž๐ฌ, ๐ข๐ง๐œ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ฆ๐ž๐๐ข๐œ๐š๐ฅ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ฉ๐ก๐ฒ๐ฌ๐ข๐œ๐š๐ฅ ๐œ๐ก๐ž๐œ๐ค-๐ฎ๐ฉ๐ฌ, ๐ฉ๐š๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ž๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ฌ๐ž๐ซ๐ฏ๐ข๐œ๐ž๐ฌ, ๐ฌ๐ง๐š๐œ๐ค๐ฌ, ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ข๐ง๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ๐ฆ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐›๐จ๐จ๐ญ๐ก๐ฌ facilitated by participating agencies.

As part of the activity, the Project Angel Tree Gift-Giving brought joy and hope to the child beneficiaries. Each child received gift packages containing ๐ฌ๐œ๐ก๐จ๐จ๐ฅ ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ข๐ž๐ฌ, ๐ž๐š๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ž๐ง๐ฌ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฌ, ๐ก๐ฒ๐ ๐ข๐ž๐ง๐ž ๐ค๐ข๐ญ๐ฌ, ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ฆ๐›๐ฅ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ, ๐š๐ง๐ ๐›๐š๐œ๐ค๐ฉ๐š๐œ๐ค๐ฌ, ๐ก๐ž๐ฅ๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐จ๐ซ๐ญ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐ข๐ซ ๐ž๐๐ฎ๐œ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง, ๐ก๐ž๐š๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก, ๐š๐ง๐ ๐๐š๐ข๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐ง๐ž๐ž๐๐ฌ.

As part of the information campaign, participants attended orientations on Republic Act No. 11930 and Republic Act No. 9231, which strengthen the protection of children against exploitation and child labor.

To reinforce the shared commitment toward a Child Labor-Free Philippines, the activity also featured a Pledge of Commitment Signing, the Panatang Makabata, and the Batang Malaya Community Dance, symbolizing unity among stakeholders and beneficiaries in safeguarding children's rights and ensuring that every child enjoys a safe, healthy, and productive childhood.

Through strengthened partnerships and community engagement, DOLE XII-SKFO continues to champion initiatives that protect children, empower families, and advance the vision of a child labor-free society.

The Unified Social Protection and Welfare Committee XII (USPWC XII) joined the โ€œRed Card to Child Laborโ€ Campaign during its CY 2026 Second Quarter Executive Meeting held on May 21, 2026, at Dreamweaverโ€™s Hotel, City of Koronadal.

The meeting was attended by representatives from various National Government Agencies (NGAs), Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), and regional inter-agency committees and councils, including the Regional Committee on Disability Affairs (RCDA), Regional Juvenile Justice and Welfare Committee (RJJWC), Regional Inter-Agency Committee Against Trafficking and Violence Against Women and Their Children (RIACAT-VAWC), Regional Inter-Agency Committee for the Filipino Family (RIACFF), Regional Committee for the Welfare of Children (RCWC), DSWD XII Senior Citizen, and the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP).

These bodies collectively contribute to the advancement of social protection, welfare services, sectoral development, and collaborative initiatives for vulnerable and marginalized sectors in Region XII.

As part of the meeting, the Regional Council Against Child Labor (RCACL) XII representative provided an overview of the council to the committee, highlighting the current child labor situation in Region XII, accomplishments, resolutions, ongoing initiatives, and proposed ways forward to further intensify interventions toward the elimination of child labor and the promotion of childrenโ€™s welfare and protection.

Following the presentation and ensuing discussion, it was proposed that RCACL XII regularly present council updates in succeeding USPWC XII meetings, alongside other member committees, to further strengthen coordination and convergence efforts.
