LOOK: The Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), headed by Ms. Sonia Bautista, brought together community-based organizations (CBOs) today for a productive coordination meeting at the PSWDO Conference Room, Provincial Capitol Compound, Alunan Avenue, Koronadal City. Representatives from the Supplementary Feeding Program (SFP) and the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) joined CBOs to review program progress and map out solutions moving forward.

For EPAHP, the meeting was a welcome affirmation that strong coordination, timely documentation, swift problem-solving, and dedicated CBOs are exactly what turn a program on paper into food on the table.

Ms. Bautista's initiative to bring everyone together reflects the strong alignment and shared commitment of PSWDO, SFP, EPAHP, and partner CBOs in advancing the feeding program. It was more than just a meeting — it was a clear demonstration of what's possible when government and community partners work hand in hand, bringing South Cotabato's children and families ever closer to reliable, on-time supplementary feeding.

LOOK: The Walang Gutom Program (WGP) Field Office XII conducted its monthly assessment for September 2026 to review program implementation, clarify roles and designations, and strengthen coordination among its teams.

The activity was spearheaded by Regional Program Coordinator Ibrahim Sangcupan, with program personnel participating in discussions focused on key operational matters and strategic directions.

Among the topics discussed were clarification of designations and responsibilities, strategic planning, and other program-related concerns to ensure that activities and deliverables remain aligned with the objectives of the Walang Gutom Program.

The monthly assessment serves as an avenue for the WGP Field Office XII team to evaluate ongoing initiatives, address operational concerns, and identify strategies to further improve program implementation and service delivery for its beneficiaries.

LOOK: Through the initiative and partnership facilitated by Mahintana Foundation, Inc., the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) Region XII recently engaged in a meaningful knowledge exchange with a delegation from Brunei Darussalam, focusing on Strategic Public-Private Partnerships for Strengthening Agricultural Value Chains.

The fruitful discussion provided an opportunity to share experiences, insights, and strategies in strengthening agricultural communities through collaboration, sustainable market opportunities, and strong public-private partnerships.
The Brunei delegates shared that the knowledge exchange broadened their perspectives and opened opportunities that they could explore and apply within their agricultural communities in Brunei Darussalam.

Through meaningful exchanges and strengthened partnerships, EPAHP continues to promote collaboration beyond borders toward more resilient, empowered, and sustainable agricultural communities.

LOOK: DSWD Field Office XII, through the Pag-abot Program, facilitated the reintegration of a beneficiary endorsed by the National Program Management Office (NPMO) with their receiving family in Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte on September 2, 2026.

The reintegration activity marked a significant step toward family reunification and sustainable reintegration. Through the collaborative efforts of DSWD Pag-abot Field Office XII, the receiving family, the Municipal Administrator of Datu Odin Sinsuat , Municipal Social Welfare Development Office (MSWDO) of Datu Odin Sinsuat , and the Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU) of Makir , the family was successfully assisted in returning to their family and community.

This activity reflects the continuing commitment of the Pag-abot Program to assist individuals and families in street situations by reconnecting them with their families and communities and providing interventions responsive to their needs, capacities, and circumstances.

Every return is a new beginning. Through Pag-abot, families are reunited, hope is restored, and lives are given another chance.

The Pag-abot Regional Program Management Office (RPMO) conducted a stakeholders’ coordination activity in the Municipality of Maasim, Sarangani Province, to strengthen collaboration and ensure the responsive delivery of social protection and reintegration services to Pag-abot beneficiaries.

The activity brought together the Pag-abot RPMO Staff, Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) Maasim, OMAG, ALS, WCPD, MHO, DTI, PESO and Kablacan WINDS, to discuss the beneficiaries’ needs and identify appropriate interventions and available resources.

Through strengthened partnerships and coordinated efforts, the Pag-abot Program continues to support beneficiaries toward meaningful, safe, and sustainable reintegration in their communities.

LOOK: Following the successful reintegration of two individuals in street situation and one family in street situation, the DSWD Pag-abot Program conducted courtesy visits in various areas of Region XII and BARMM on September 2, 2026.

The courtesy visits were conducted with the respective Local Government Units (LGUs), barangay officials, and other key stakeholders who supported the beneficiaries throughout the reintegration process. In Datu Odin Sinsuat, the Pag-abot Program team paid a courtesy visit to Mayor Abdulmain P. Abas Sr. and Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer Morshida Ebrahim. In Makilala, Cotabato Province, the team met with Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer Lina V. Canedo, Municipal Administrator Jose A. Caparida Jr., and Barangay Chairman Edgar E. Mission. Meanwhile, in General Santos City, the team met with Barangay Captain Alberto D. Pacquiao. The visits provided an opportunity to strengthen coordination with local partners and ensure the continued provision of appropriate support and assistance to the reintegrated beneficiaries.

The initiative also aimed to monitor the beneficiaries’ progress following their reintegration and reaffirm the commitment of the DSWD and its partner agencies to providing sustained interventions. Through continued collaboration and monitoring, the Pag-abot Program seeks to support individuals and families in achieving a safer, more stable, and self-sufficient life within their communities.

DSWD 12 Tara, Basa! conducts PMT Meeting and Balik Tanaw in Alamada

Alamada, Cotabato Province — The DSWD Field Office XII, through the Tara, Basa! Program, conducted a PMT Meeting and Balik Tanaw in Alamada to review program implementation, present updates, gather feedback, and identify recommendations for future implementation.

Among the key recommendations raised were the possible expansion of the program’s beneficiary target, strengthened coordination among implementing partners and stakeholders, and the continued implementation of the program’s holistic approach in addressing the needs of beneficiaries.

Partner stakeholders expressed their appreciation and support for Tara, Basa!, as well as their anticipation for its next implementation in the municipality.
