The three-day seminar on the SAI PMF and Quality Assurance Review (QAR) participated by 20 delegates from COA XII, held at Manuel Resort in Piñan, Zamboanga del Norte on July 21-23, provided an enriching professional journey focused on the System of Audit Quality Management (SoAQM) and ISSAI 140. Through expert-led discussions, practical case reviews, and collaborative exchanges, participants gained essential clarity on evaluating institutional support, audit methodologies, and jurisdictional activities. Ultimately, the experience served as a vital capacity-building milestone that reinforced a shared commitment to upholding integrity, transparency, and impactful public sector governance.

💡The Supreme Audit Institutions Performance Measurement Framework (SAI PMF), developed by INTOSAI, is a comprehensive assessment tool that enables public audit bodies like the Commission on Audit (COA) to evaluate core audit functions and support systems against international standards like the ISSAIs. By identifying organizational strengths and operational weaknesses, it serves as a strategic engine for continuous improvement, enabling institutions to systematically monitor their Quality Management Systems through structured evaluations and peer reviews to enhance efficiency, capacity, and public trust. 🇵🇭
