Livelihood Training Program: Rug Making for STAC Teens with the GSP Aklan Council

As we celebrate the 48th National Disability Rehabilitation Week 2026, STAC Kalibo proudly conducted a Livelihood Training Program on Rug Making for our amazing STAC Teens.
This activity is more than learning a new craft—it is about developing practical skills, fostering creativity, building confidence, and promoting independence. Every thread woven represents perseverance, every rug created reflects talent, and every finished piece is a testament to the limitless potential of our youth.

At STAC Kalibo, we believe that disability is never a barrier to productivity, creativity, and success. By equipping our teens with livelihood skills, we empower them to become active, confident, and contributing members of society.

Today, we gather in celebration of AUTISM AWARENESS MONTH, a meaningful occasion that calls us not only to raise awareness, but to foster deeper understanding, acceptance, and inclusion for individuals both adults and children on the autism spectrum.

We at STAC Kalibo, we witness every day that autism is not a limitation, but a unique way of experiencing the world. Each child carries strengths, abilities, and possibilities that deserve to be nurtured, supported, and celebrated.

This celebration reminds us of our shared mission—to build a community where every child feels valued, where differences are embraced, and where opportunities are created for all to grow, learn, and thrive.
