GUIDELINES ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF MINIMUM HEALTH PROTOCOLS (for dine-in services of restaurants and fast food establishments)
Restaurants and fast food establishments need to comply with these health standards to operate.
THIS WILL BE THE NEW NORMAL
These are the mandatory minimum requirements for operation of dine-in services
1. Thermal scanning of all personnel, suppliers, and customers prior entry.
(Persons with a temperature higher than 37.5 C shall NOT be allowed to entry)
2. Implementation of contact tracing measures.
The establishment shall ensure that information of personel, suppliers, and customers are collected either by:
• Registering with SafePass or StaySafe.ph, or
• Answering a health declaration form (sample health checklist may be accessed thru www.bit.ly/DTI_MC2037)
3. No personnel with COVID-19 symptoms or with exposure to COVID -19 patients shall be allowed to report for work.
4. Customers, workers, and suppliers exhibiting symptoms, such as colds, cough and/or difficulty breathing to be politely declined entry.
5. Provision for rubbing alcohol, which can be easily sprayed on the hands of personnel, suppliers, and customers must be available prior to entry.
6. STRICT enforcement of the "No Face Mask, No Entry" Policy.
(All personnel, suppliers, and customers shall wear facemask.)
7. Strict observance of social distancing measures in all parts of the establishment, including the cashier counter, beverage bar, kitchen, and back areas.
8. Proper ventilation and exhaust system in the establishment, if the setting requires and if applicable
9. Chairs shall be distanced at least one (1) meter on all sides.
10. Queueing area shall comply with one (1) meter distance on all sides requirement.
11. For face-to-face seating, plastic barriers/dividers shall be provided or chairs shall be positioned diagonally to avoid face-to-face seating.
12. No self-service shall be allowed.
13. Buffet service shall be allowed only when:
• food servers are provided
• all food tray are with food covers
14. Restrooms must be properly sanitized and must be ensured to be free from accumulation of trash.
15. Play areas shall be closed.
