🎉🌿 52nd Nutrition Month Celebration 2026 🌿🎉
The Burgos Rural Health Unit and Birthing Center and the Municipal Nutrition Committee headed by DR. MARICEL S. SALAMIDA (MHO/MNAO) with the support of the Local Government Unit of Burgos headed by HON. KERVIN FRANCIS G. UY (Municipal Mayor) together with HON. MAY ANGELA UY-HUANG (SB On Health) successfully celebrated the 52nd Nutrition Month with the theme:
"Nutrition at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan!"
Our heartfelt gratitude to all 14 barangays, the parents, children, Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), partner agencies, and volunteers who participated and helped make this celebration a success.
We also thank Barangay Caliguian, headed by Hon. Maria Encarlonia Gragasin, RMT (Brgy. Captain/ LNB President) and the Barangay Council, for generously providing the venue and for their warm hospitality and full cooperation.
Our deepest gratitude as well to the PhilHealth Local Health Insurance Office (LHIO) Ilagan Branch, headed by Sir Eric Pauig, together with his dedicated staff, for their valuable support and participation through the PhilHealth YAKAP Program for Enrollment and assistance.
Special thanks to Dr. Jeanette Solomon our dentist, for conducting the fluoride application and promoting good oral health among the children. Your dedication to preventive dental care is truly appreciated.
The celebration featured nutrition education, fluoride application, height and weight measurement, MUAC assessment, PhilHealth YAKAP services, and the distribution of nutritious food to our beneficiary children.
This celebration reminded us all of the importance of proper nutrition in achieving a healthier Burgos. Together, we move forward to build a well-nourished and healthier community! Let’s work together to fight malnutrition and promote a healthier future for our community. Because in Burgos, malusog na katawan ay kayamanang tunay! 💚
