Cavite State University improved its global ranking to 217th place and placing within the Top 100 in 16 categories in the 2026 World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI).

WURI is a ranking system that assesses the societal and industry contributions of higher education institutions (HEIs), with focus on their innovative approaches to education, research, and society.
From ranking in two categories in its first WURI entry in 2024, the University is now among the Global Top 50 innovative universities in the following areas: 15th in Inclusive Social Innovation for the Underserved (C6); 18th in Social Impact through Knowledge Transfer (C5); 26th in Ethics and Integrity (A6) and University-Based Entrepreneurial Projects (C7); 38th in Industrial Application (A3); 42nd in Visionary Leadership (B1); 43rd in Interdisciplinary, Convergent, and Integrated Research (C2); and 46th in Crisis Management (A5).

CvSU also made it to the Global Top 100 in the following categories: 52nd in AI-Based Teaching and Learning Transformation (C4); 57th in Future-Oriented Responses to Global Uncertainty and Geopolitical Risk (A7); 62nd in Financial Impact-Driven Technology Transfer (C8); 74th in Funding for Sustainability (B5); 89th in Cost-Effectiveness Management (B7) and University Brand and Reputation (B8); 91st in SDG- and ESG-based Responses to Past and Present Global Challenges (A8); and 98th in Digital and AI Transformation in Strategy and Management (B3).

𝗖𝘃𝗦𝗨’𝘀 𝗩𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆: 𝗔 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲-𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲

On April 20, 2026, Day 1 of the Virtual Accreditation began with an opening program. University President Dr. Ma. Agnes P. Nuestro delivered the welcome remarks, followed by the introduction of Cavite State University officials. Dr. Pia Rhoda P. Lucero, Quality Assurance Director, introduced the AACCUP accreditors, while Overall Accreditor Dr. Job D. Paguio presented the statement of purpose and accreditation procedures.

Breakout sessions followed for various programs. The Bachelor of Physical Education (Main Campus) and Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (CvSU Silang Campus) presented their narrative reports and supporting documents. These included Q&A sessions and interviews that allowed accreditors to validate the submitted evidence.

Day 2 (April 21, 2026) featured the continuation of breakout sessions for the same programs, alongside the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and Bachelor of Science in Industrial Security Management. The sessions focused on interviews with alumni, students, and partners to verify program effectiveness and curriculum relevance. Additional questions and document reviews were conducted to support the evaluation.

By Day 3 (April 22, 2026), the accreditation concluded with a closing program. Dr. Job D. Paguio delivered the overall impressions, highlighting the strengths of the programs as well as areas for improvement. This was followed by messages of commitment from the deans of the programs that underwent accreditation, reaffirming their dedication to sustaining and enhancing quality standards. The event concluded with closing remarks from Dr. Cristina M. Signo, Vice President for Academic Affairs.

The three-day accreditation reflected Cavite State University’s commitment to quality assurance and continuous improvement.

• Graduate of BSCS, BSIT or any related course
