The Department of Trade and Industry Iloilo Provincial Office, led by Daryl Mae Lorene S. Jacar, Provincial CARP Coordinator together with the Business Counselor from Negosyo Center Zarraga, conducted an enterprise visit to Balud II Agrarian Reform Cooperative.

During the visit, the team discussed the 2026 Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) interventions that aims to further strengthen and support the cooperative and its members. The focused group discussion was held at Brgy. Balud II, Zarraga, Iloilo as part of DTI Iloilo’s continued commitment to empowering agrarian reform beneficiaries through enterprise development and business assistance programs.

The Department of Trade and Industry Iloilo Provincial Office, through Negosyo Center Zarraga, served as a resource institution during the conduct of the seminar titled “Strengthening Community-Based Enterprise through Membership Recruitment and Marketing Skills Training” held earlier today, April 30, 2026 at Barangay Inagdangan Centro.

The seminar was organized by the BSN 4N students of the University of San Agustin College of Nursing, aiming to empower community members by enhancing their skills in enterprise development, membership recruitment, and marketing.
During the activity, the Business Counsellor from Negosyo Center Zarraga shared valuable insights on Entrepreneurship and Marketing Strategy, emphasizing practical approaches in starting and sustaining a business, identifying target markets, and applying effective promotional techniques to boost community-based enterprises.

This initiative highlights the collaborative efforts between academic institutions and government agencies in promoting inclusive growth and strengthening the capacity of local communities to engage in sustainable economic activities.

Ms. Gina S. Paran of Brgy. Sigangao Zarraga, Iloilo. Yesterday April 20, 2026.

This personalized consultancy aims to provide participants with valuable insights on business improvement, guide them in proper business planning, and introduce the functions and services of the Negosyo Center.

The One-on-One Entrepreneurship Consultancy is also a prerequisite for the "Balik Pinas, Balik Hanapbuhay Program", which provides financial aid to displaced Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) through the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) and Department of Migrant Worker (DMW).

Negosyo Center Zarraga conducted an enterprise visit to Parreño Furniture Shop on March 19, 2026.

The visit aimed to assess the business needs of MSME owner Mrs. Marilyn Parreño and provide appropriate assistance. As part of the support, the Business Counselor also helped in creating the shop’s page to boost its online presence and reach more customers.
