Municipality of Leganes Welcomes BFAR Representatives
The Municipality of Leganes warmly welcomes representatives from the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) Central Office, BFAR Region VI, and BFAR Provincial Fisheries Office (PFO) VI for the conduct of the Data Gathering and Assessment of LGU Readiness and Awareness on Republic Act No. 11985, also known as the Philippine Salt Industry Development Act.
The activity aims to assess the Local Government Unit’s level of readiness and awareness in implementing and supporting initiatives under RA 11985, while gathering relevant information that will help strengthen local programs for the development of the Philippine salt industry.
The activity was participated in by Municipal Agriculturist Diana Marie D. Limbang and Aquaculturist Joshua Jesus J. Anas III, representing the Municipality of Leganes.
The Municipality of Leganes extends its appreciation to BFAR Central Office, BFAR Region VI, and BFAR PFO VI for their continued support and partnership in advancing local fisheries development and strengthening the Philippine salt industry.
