Community Service-Oriented Policing (CSOP) in Line with the 32nd National Crime Prevention Week
LOOK: The Guimaras Police Provincial Office (GPPO) conducted a Community Service Oriented Policing (CSOP) activity in line with the celebration of the 32nd National Crime Prevention Week at the Covered Gym of Brgy. Cabano, San Lorenzo, Guimaras on September 3, 2026.
The activity was attended by PCOL FERDINAND N NAVALES, Provincial Director; Atty. Giovanni L. Pamonag, Provincial Officer, NAPOLCOM 6; personnel of the Regional Medical and Dental Unit 6, headed by PMAJ FAITH G TABUGO; Hon. Evelina T. Salcedo, Liga President, San Lorenzo; PCADU personnel; personnel of San Lorenzo MPS; representatives from partner agencies; Hon. Macario V. Escarpe Jr., Punong Barangay of Barangay Cabano; and constituents from the twelve (12) barangays of San Lorenzo, Guimaras.
The activity commenced with the welcome remarks of Hon. Macario V. Escarpe Jr., Punong Barangay of Barangay Cabano. Thereafter, PLTCOL RENANTE D MATILLANO, Chief, PCADU, emphasized the importance of Community Service-Oriented Policing (CSOP) in strengthening police-community relations and bringing government services closer to the community.
In his message, PCOL FERDINAND N NAVALES, Provincial Director, GPPO, reaffirmed the GPPO’s commitment to supporting accessible and responsive government services, particularly in far-flung communities. Meanwhile, Atty. Giovanni L. Pamonag, Provincial Officer, NAPOLCOM 6, commended the GPPO for spearheading the activity and emphasized the importance of CSOP and inter-agency collaboration in promoting crime prevention and community partnership.
Partner agencies, namely SSS, PhilHealth, PAG-IBIG Fund, PSA, PCSO, DENR, LTO, GSAC, and RMDU-6, provided various government services to the community. A total of two hundred (200) participants from the twelve (12) barangays of San Lorenzo, Guimaras, availed themselves of the services, further strengthening inter-agency collaboration and police-community partnership.
