On September 3, 2026, personnel of the Office of the Provincial Fire Marshal Iloilo, under the leadership of FSUPT MELANIE G HABAWEL, DSC, Acting Provincial Fire Marshal, participated in the National Simultaneous School Safety Drill on Active Attack Incidents conducted in designated schools across Iloilo.
BFP Iloilo personnel were deployed to Pavia National High School, Santa Barbara National High School, Leganes National High School, and Tiu Cho TegโAna Ros Foundation Integrated Farm School to assist in the conduct of the drill and promote preparedness, coordination, and effective emergency response among school communities.
The activity highlights the importance of preparedness, inter-agency coordination, and a coordinated response in safeguarding students, school personnel, and the community during emergencies. Through active participation in safety and preparedness initiatives, BFP Iloilo continues to support its mandate of protecting lives and property.
